what are the benefits of being a claim adjuster? negatives?

i got offered a position as a claims adjuster? what does this job entail? do they make a lot of money in this position?

my boyfriends sister works for a company called Assurant in downtown kansas city missouri doing that stuff. i dont know much about it but she makes good money, day time job, she's been there for 8 yrs or so. the company is letting her work from home wed & fri unless there business meetings or so forth. i believe she does travel. i wish there was more to tell you but thats all i know..i apologize for wasting your time. take care..good luck.
