ive been with this present company for 2 years. However, ive been a contractor for 2 years with no benefits, no vacation time. im 29 years old and i could really use this stuff. anyways, i was offered a full time job with benefits. It pays $3.00 more.per hour.($15 vs $18 an hour) The only downfall is that the job is about 45 min- 1 hr away. Part of me feels like nervous because i dont know what im getting into with this new company.. IM positive i can do the job. But what if i end up miserable? they always say the grass isnt greener on the other side. the hours for my current job are off sun- tue.and every other wed. 12 hour shifts from 7am to 7pm. this job is tue- sat. 11am to 8pm

She has repeatedly called me a wimp and refers to herself as "the leader" of the office and belittles any ideas that I have. Last week, I offered an idea and she responded by saying "shut up or i'll show you my kung fu grip". To make matters worse, her husband works in the same building. I have started to take kickboxing lessons and am seriously thinking about challeging her to a fight once I feel ready. Any suggestions you have will be greatly appreciated.

I am aware this is quite a vague, open-ended question, kinda like "how long is a piece of string?"

I used to work in a press office writing articles and releases. I was made redundant when I was pregnant. I initially wanted to return to work part-time, but childcare costs would make life difficult.

I am just putting my feelers out to see if there is anyone out there who has been in a vaguely similar situation (i.e. wants/wanted to return to work but childcare too expensive and so decided to become a freelance journalist).

WHat kind of publications do you write for? DId you study journalism or you just picked it up?

I am extremely interested in a position with (Cellphone company). In my spare time I have always taken a great interest in computers and electronics, including cellular phones and I believe a position with your company would be an excellent match of professionalism and personal interest. I also look forward to meeting new people and creating a positive work environment.

I believe I have qualities and abilities this company would surely benefit from. I feel that an intricate knowledge and familiarity of each and every product is essential to success. I believe that ignorance never sold a product and that customers are most comfortable buying from someone that knows their product well and can explain it accurately. I have many years of computer experience and have become very resourceful in finding information about any product.

In my years of education I have studied many relevant courses such as advanced statistics and algebra, accounting and computer science which all would

It's nothing but an office full of selfish, back stabbing pricks who care nothing more about nothing but themselves or their next bonus or promotion. When was the last time you honestly felt like you were part of a "team" rather than some disposable piece of garbage?

I am a very respectful and kind person but don't take my kindness for weakness. Sometimes that lady makes me want to slap the sh%t out her because she is too pu%sy to make people do what they have to do at my job. She makes sure I do mine alright and everyone else except her son's ex girlfriend ( i wanna slap her *** too) but it's not cool to let her complain and not have to do **** just because she gotta get home to her baby. So what I gotta bed waitin at home for me and a man and I still gotta do my part. Should I continue to ignore it or let her know how I feel about her "managment skills"

I work for a company that only pays there servers/bartenders only $2.13 and hour. After taxes that's nothing no matter how many hours you work. Basically we're living off tips which a lot of time just doesn't cut it. On days when we aren't busy I can work 8 hrs and only make $35. That's less than minimum wage. And I know it's not b/c of my service b/c I kiss butt.

nothing about, it seams to me that some times people think you are trying to be a big shot or a know it all if you understand things more clearly than they seam to,mainly if you are training them to do a job for their employer and you are the trainner, how do you avoid problems with people being negitive about the fact you are not as stupid as they wish you where,i realize full well we all need respect, and i give out more than i recive and often overlook disrespect from others , so tell me how to get around this seamingly never ending problem , im very paitent and understanding and never push to hard for results, always finding the strong points they have and building their trainning from their, what can it be that i am missing, any ideas on this??? thanks so much and please have a nice day.

Hey guys I am really down and out, I can't find a job that ever works for me. I just got fired from my job tonight at as a late night grocery stocker which was terribly fast paced anyway and I wanted to quit so bad. I've been through a lot of jobs but I can't seem to find the one that works for me. I've been a telemarketer (too much stress and preassure to sell), worked in factories and grocery stores (too fast paced), done data entry typing (which was good but I'm moving to Toronto soon and apparently you need to know keystroke 1-10 which i don't), fast food and nursing home food prep (hated both and moved on) and a few non-sales positions which were nice, I would call buisnesses and ask if they used credit cards then asked if they take american experss and hang up, easy. I liked that position a lot. Do you guys have any suggestions on what I should take up that would fit into a person like me. I don' have a liscesnce, want to be alone, and don't care if the job is repedaive/but slow!
