Because they are intimidated by your knowledge and they are immature. People should acquire knowledge from anyone and everyone to turn them into a well-rounded individual. Sadly, the world doesn't work that way for the most part. Just keep doing what you're doing, and remember, what you give out comes back ten fold....great things will happen for you.

Are you in the position of giving them the training?

If not, don't bother. Keep the knowledge for yourself as few people will appreciate that you give them the knowledge or skills.

I used to be in a position in charge of a group and I had the same feeling. I realized later that in this society, not many 'managers' are willing to train. I attended a workshop, one of the tips that they gave to the management team was 'learn how to be LAZY and dedicate as much work as possible to the others' |o| -- big lesson to me!!

So I started researching on self employment information and learned lots from http://www.job.splashine.com

Check it out to see if any tips there for you.
