minimum wage is a pitiful $5.15 an hour (about enough to buy a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread). rent varies drastically depending on where you want to live. if it's rural indiana, you can rent for $300 per month. manhattan will cost you closer to $2,000.

5.15/hr - so if you work 8 hrs it is 41.20 before taxes and about 30.90 after taxes. Rent depends on your location but if wanted to live cheap you could find a place for around $350 a month.

If you have no skills or training (college/vo tech) and don't mind hard work you can get manual labor jobs paying $10 to $20 an hour. Also you can get a easy inside job paying $7 an hour if you wanted that also. People that work Minimum wage jobs do so by choice. If they really wanted they could get a better job, but that would take effort so they don’t even try.

All depends where you want to live, big cities way more money for rent, little towns cheap rent. As for pay, what do plan on doing? Anything $5.15 an hour and up. Average? Seems to be about $7 or more an hour.

it really depends on your state. The federal minimum wage is 5.15/hr, but some states have set it higher than that. I know the minimum wage in Connecticut is higher, for example. And obviously rent for a low level flat also depends on locality. In NY or DC, you would be lucky to get anything for less than $1000/mo, but Im sure prices arent that high in Arkansas.

The salary/remuneration for a particular job is the market value for a particular profession and designation at the city/town where the office is located. Job postings at websites like Monster, Yahoo HotJobs and Careerbuilder carry information about salaries. The Govt Dept of Labor, (www.bls.gov) Bureau of statistics has information about median salaries for different professions and details of additional compensation offered. Other online resources are salary.com and payscale. Your salary will also depend on your educational qualification and how you handle your career. If you are asking about the minimum wage, I THINK it's somewhere around 7 dollars? I don't know, I don't make minimum wage. Average rent varies depending on where you go- Arizona is cheap, California is expensive, NY is expensive, Nebraska is cheap.

i think minimum wage vaires per state, but here in indiana i believe it's 5.15 per hour.

my rent for my 2 bedroom apartment is 690.00 per month. you can find one in a horrible area for about 300.00 per month, but you may have to worry about your safety. apartments in my area of indiana can max out at like 1300.00 depending on the area you want and what size.

5.50/hr

Rent depends on what city you live.

You will be homeless in New York, and anywhere on the east coast. You can't afford anywhere on the West Coast either with that salary.

You can't live off 5.50/hr in the US unless you plan to live in your car. Remember you have to also eat, buy gas, clothes and pay for insurance.

Stay in your own country for now. It is not a good time to immigrate.
