It's nothing but an office full of selfish, back stabbing pricks who care nothing more about nothing but themselves or their next bonus or promotion. When was the last time you honestly felt like you were part of a "team" rather than some disposable piece of garbage?

I question myself the same thing. Now it's like that the individual who stresses team work like every five minutes it the biggest lounger and poseur.

I believe that people who stresses team work are irresponsible and lazy to do there own job, so they put it on someone else shoulder,
while they are the ones who get the credits for.

They are some kind of office blackmailers, I don't know why hard working people are afraid of them because they are way worse than a person who works 24/7 just to get the job right, takes his/her work at home. Than when she finally gets results she shows it to her team mates who did like nothing and together they show theirs work who is actually her/his and the team leader who isn't you gets promotion for something he didn't even do. Or even worse the whole team gets promoted or gets a bonus.

So to answer the question short team player is only an expression made by those in the group who aren't capable to do their own work and they lay the burden to those who are slightly lower on work scale.

The first time I became aware that businesses were going "group teamwork" was about 1997. It's a cost cutting move for businesses so that the business can survive. If it didn't work then the idea would be disbanded. I don't do "teamwork" in groups. I like teamwork with a partner or two. Seems that it is your "feelings" and not the "way you are treated" that appears to be the problem. You have choices. Save your money, get more education and either get a better job or open your own business.
