A counselor at my college told me that sometimes that is the better choice to go. Because your degree will be nothing without experience. So get the experience then get the MBA. Have you guys heard of such? Or is this just bad advice?

Thanks

I stayed home with my second child for four years. The employers look at you like you dropped off the planet Earth. Could you give me some pointers for a successful interview.

Some colleges I look at offer a B.S. in Accounting while others offer a B.B.A. with an accounting major. Is there really any difference in the two? Will someone with a B.S. get hired before someone with a B.B.A.?

I worked in shoe store as a part-time job for 9 months. I quit two weeks ago because I was working a different job for the summer, and found the two overwhelming. There was also a problem with a lack of manager in the store. Just today, I talked to a co-worker that I have kept in touch with and found out that there is a new manager and things are going really well there, but they are still in need of employees. I regret my decision to quit, and think that I could possibly want to go back. Do companies often re-hire employees who have quit but changed their minds?

I'm a self-starter and very independent. I like to figure things out for myself. Any suggestions on how to deal with a lazy coworker that would rather ask you to answer a question or fix a problem instead of trying to figure it out themselves?

Do you like working for a male or female boss? If you've had the chance to work with both, who was more effective?

Im getting my degree in massage therapy. Ive heard athletic teams, such as high school, college, and even pros hire massage therapists. Does anyone have any experience with this to share with me? I would really like to work with an athletic team, that would be awesome. I dont really care about pay all that much, its a plus if its good, but I just think I would really like my job if I could be a therapist with a sports team, and I think being happy with your job is the most important thing in the long run.

I work with the mentaly ill and they are the sweetest people, but the manager and the assistant manager of the site treat me and them very badly. They use company money to buy food for themselves, and the assistant manager is driving the company van for personal use. They also talk to the individuals like they are crap. One day I could'nt take it any more, they wanted me to write down everything that I did in the 8 hour shifts that I had worked, I mean everything from minute to second and I thought it was very wrong espeacially the way that they would talk to me, like I just commeted a crime. They made me feel like they could not trust me. I worked hard at this place, stayed late, only to be treated badly so I got so fed up with it and walked out. What would you have done?

I work in a hospital kitchen. There are several older ladies, like myself, in our 40's, 50's and 60's. There are also four younger guys, ages 16, 19, 20, and 24. I have a problem with the 20-year-old. He is so arrogant and thinks he knows everything. He says he doesn't really need to work and that as soon as his car is paid off he's going to quit. His dad also works at the hospital, as our Corporate Compliance Officer. He is directly our supervisor's supervisor. "J" started out doing my job, at night like I do, and he discovered that it's not as easy as it looks. There are menial tasks to do, such as floor mopping and a lot of scrubbing pots and pans. He also discovered that if he does the cooking he not only gets paid more but he has fewer tasks to do. He's constantly bringing dirty pans to me to do because it's "my job". The older ladies often do them themselves. Bottom line, he made my job a nightmare the other night and I wrote a letter to our boss. comments welcome.
