I am a graduate and have my first job as an Assistant Buyer. I work for a company that sells arts and crafts to schools. I miss working in fashion as duriing my placement year i was working on children's wear. It was great!!!!
I have been in my new job for two months but am SO BORED!!!! Everytime i ask for work to do they just palm me off. I hate not having things to do. I am looking for other jobs in retail. However, where i am now i have already jumped a position as you are meant to be a Buying Assistant before coming an Assistant Buyer. The money is **** but the job promises fast promotion (supposedly). WIthin a year i could be a buyer....if there is a position available!!! What should i do? Stay here and fast track or find a job within the area i actually want to be working in that offers more money?

What is reasonable salary for a project coordinator in the construction field? I took my current position at a lower wage for 90 days. The company had bad luck with prior applicants so they wanted a trial period. 90 days is coming soon but I have never worked for Salary pay before. How do I know they are paying me what I'm worth and how do I protect myself from being overworked and underpaid?

I had my resume looked at by a career counselor. I edited it to her standards and sent it out to the places that were hiring and no callbacks. I call back in a week, give them my interest, and they don't call back.

In particular, I did land an interview with a naval museum and passed the first interview with flying colors but I had to get by the new manager coming in and I called his office once a week for a few months and he never returned my calls. The same position opened up again and I submitted a revised resume and called to let him know that I was still interested. Should I give up on the naval museum position? I don't want to because I would like to have it.

So how do I deal with these people that won't call back? Should I keep calling them again, requesting that someone look at my app./resume?
