Imagine you are doing the interview and what you are looking for when someone comes fthrough the door. Appropriate appearance/dress is a given. Take your resume over in person - it will give you an idea of the dress code and atmosphere they prefer. Present a professional resume to get yourself an interview. Make sure the resume info is geared toward each job you apply for. Be nice to everyone, they may ask the receptionist which candidate she liked best - you never know. Appear confident and polilte, but not pushy, give eye contact, display good posture, shake hands , really listen, and be pleasant - after all you are going to be performing a service for them - act the part. As you learn things about the job at the interview, show real enthusiasm and interest. Anticipate questions that may be asked and have the answers ready, like why did you leave your old job, what are your strengths and what are your weaknesses, and what can you do for our company, or why do you want to work here? Be prepared to state a realistic salary expectation. Research the company as much as you can, so they know you are interested and willing to learn. You can always teach a pleasant person to perform a job well, but someone hard to get along with or annoying, or lazy will remain that way even after they learn the job. Thank them at the end of the interview, and do a follow-up letter a week later, even if you don't get the job. The person who got it might mess up, and then they will remember you. Good luck

I believe you should read up on the profile of the company and understand the job requirement when you apply for it. Not only that when you go for interview, you must not be late and be humble during the interview. You should also understand that you are not the only one applying for the job, there are others people who is also attending the interview together with you. You must be prepared the fact the interviewers could ask you some question that you least expected and must answer in an approriate way to impress the interviewer that you are the best candiadate for the job

Depends what you want to do..
First thing is to do your homework on the company you are looking to go work for. After you submit your application or resume, find out more about the position, and where it fits within the company overall.
Before the interview time comes, get as much info on the company overall... A lot of times, when they call to set up aninterview, they are listening to your tone of voice over the phone, etiquette and such..
Hit the library, or research online popular interview questions. A lot of sites have ready made answers. Some ones to think about, that are asked at many interviews include, "What is your greatest strength?" "What is your greatest Weakness?" Where do you see yourself in 5 years" "Tell me about yourself"
If you have answers already to go, somewhat memorized, it makes it so much easier, and you look confident and prepared.
During the interview, you also want to ask questions. Such as, room for advancement. what is it about company X that makes him/her stay? Why the position is open... stuff like that. It makes you look very interested in the position.
I have never been to an interview I didnt land the job.
Proper Preparation prevents poor performance.
