The salary/remuneration for a particular job is the market value for a particular profession and designation at the city/town where the office is located. Job postings at websites like Monster, Yahoo HotJobs and Careerbuilder carry information about salaries. The Govt Dept of Labor, (www.bls.gov) Bureau of statistics has information about median salaries for different professions and details of additional compensation offered. Other online resources are salary.com and payscale. Your salary will also depend on your educational qualification and how you handle your career. That's a broad question... "Business" is a huge area with lots of different positions that can fall into it. Marketing will depend on what part of Marketing you are doing. The highest paid positions in Marketing are for those that can actually come up with the marketing ideas and marketing plans... knowing the consumer/business and how to get customers to take action.
The salary range varies, but usually more for a management position. If you take the responsibility (And the headaches) you will earn more.
Forget making the most money.... Money is a follower. You will earn what you deserve if you travel the right career path. Decide what you want to do for a living that will let you enjoy each day without feeling too stressed or unhappy. You may not be able to start right in the position you want right from the beginning, so once you know what you want to do, start in a job that will lead to your ultimate position. Set youself up for long-term happieness.
Good luck

To some extent, you answered your own question. It depends on your level of education and experience. If you do not have a degree or any experience, you are going to have a difficult time getting a job. If you do, the salary could be slightly above minimum wage. Once you establish yourself and have a track record that you can put in a resume, this gives credibility to you and you can apply for and hopefully get higher paying jobs. If you have a degree, you can start at jobs at a higher salary even if you do not have the experience. If you wind up with a MBA and are good at what you do, the sky can be the limit. There are CEO's with big corporations who earn well over one million dollars a year and more. Most of them have a MBA or doctorate and extensive experience. But, you have to start someplace, so give it a try. There are sales managers in many different businesses with no degree who earn big money, such as management level in retail automobile sales. Good luck!
