I am MRICS qualified and currently project manage construction of oil and gas pipe lines all over the world. I would like to live in London and not take a drop in salary (£60k tax free). Any ideas on what you can do from this job. I am 29. I am very practical and a good problem solver and technical rather than creative

I am a medical assistant and I begining to grow tired of the healthcare field. My true interest is in the field of technology. Like in the field of like an electrician or electrical engineering tech ( this is what I have recently changed my major to). So can anyone tell me some good places to start to gain experience from? Especially if there are any people in these fields out there reading my question right now.

From 1996-2001, I held 4 jobs in the mortgage industry with a tenure of 6-18 months per job. This is killing my job search because it shows I'm a job hopper, as several recruiters have pointed out. I'm considering consolidating those 4 jobs into one job listing with one out of business former employer, showing employment with them from 1996-2001; the responsibilities were the same in all jobs, so I wouldn't be lying about what I did, just who I did it for.

I want to work in Securities Analysis- I have an MBA and took the Level I CFA exam in June.

My concern is I already filed a U-4 with the NASD which shows my true job history. What are the chances an employer will compare my resume to the U-4 that gets transferred to them?

Don't spout crap about, "Lying on your resume is wrong"...I've been honest on my resume and since I got my MBA the best job I could get was making $11.75/hour; I've travelled throughout the country looking for work with no results using my true resume

I'm thinking about going it alone but I'm a bit scared. What do you do? Has it been worth it for you? Do you work more or less than before? Has it been difficult? Has your income risen? Would you recommend doing it? Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences!

What should I expect in terms of percentage.....5%, 10%? I understand that it depends on the operating profit margins of the company but based on what i have inquired, they make about 25% Operating profit before taxes and depreciation expense.

I've been working as a journalist for some time and actually I liked it except for dependency on editor. I wish I could find something that would bring me enjoyment and still let me be independent. I like writing and have a lot of interests, so I can write on various topics. I really enjoy doing my work! Thank you in advance!

i'm going to be on my 3rd year of college and have to choose a major. i was wondering if anyone that has any experience with accounting or in general business administration can tell me the base starting pay and if it's a hard degree to achieve. can anyone please tell me more about accounting in general in this business world? like if it's a really competitive job or it's not needed, etc? thanks a lot... i really need some guidance because my school's advisers are all lazy. they just gave me a piece of paper of what classes to take and that's it. they don't want to meet up with me to sit down and talk about the details. so i would appreciate it if anybody here can help me out... thank you!

the immediate senior speaks to her in an unacceptable language and has also informed junior staff to not accept any official orders from her.Hence the staff is non co-operative. Even to use toilet he says why dont you use mens toilet. Says,If I dont give you any official work and ask you to do personal work that has to be done. No phone can be made to head office as mostly all are his collegues there and cant be bothered in this matter.Asks to entertain and flirt with customers and clients. Keeps talking vulgar about her. She cant leave job as it supports her and her family although pay is RS. 4000/-. Cant take job far from house due to weak physical condition. Where should she approach for help and stop her senior from abusing.
