If you quit the job, you will have to wait for pay day, and if you get discharged you can demand your paycheck that day. Thats a law. If they don't pay you, then go straight to the Top Man. Demand your paycheck. Good luck..

They will mitigate on your behalf. Many states have laws that prohibit employers from withholding outstanding pay.
If there are mitigating circumstance such as if you get paid on commission, they can hold payment until they receive funds from the customer. If you were employed for less than one work week, some states allow employers to hold 8 hours pay to allow for wasted time amd expense for training you.
