I am taking a year off between undergrad and grad school and I need to find a job for a year. I would like to get a somewhat decent job which I'm assuming requires dedication. What should I tell an employer if they ask me where I see myself in the near future if I plan on leaving after a year?

I posted this question earlier but they weren't understanding the question. They want it to be something that would benefit the company, like loyalty, hard working people, ect.

My dad does my taxes, and he won't let me do them on my own. I want to work at Hooters, but I don't want him to see my W-2 form when taxes come around. I don't see him being very happy about me working there. Is it possible to hold off on filing it or forgetting it all together?

I live in Alabama. I want to quit my job so badly, but need to find another one first. Does anyone know what you have to do to work at Michaels (craft store), and how much they pay? Has anyone tried mystery shopping, and what is that like? Anyone that lives near Huntsville, can you suggest a good job that doesn't require a lot of customer service. I'm sorry but I can't stand customers anymore! This is my first job since I graduated high school 4 years ago! So I have worked there enough to say that I don't like it anymore. Or if anyone can give me a good website to go to, besides hot jobs.com or helpwanted.com. Or if anyone could give me a name of a good company to work for. Thanks!

Montclair State University in New Jersey. I work for a small brokerage firm in Manhattan, NYC. I do some trading and operational things. I dont have that many of my own accounts I handle firm accounts mostly.I have the series 7, 63, 55, 4, and 24 licenses. I am 32 years old and have spent ten years in financial services and will probably be making a little over 100k this year. Is this a good salary for someone with my credentials that works in Manhattan or should i be making more somewhere else?

Several of us at work at being told that we are going to get fired if we do not meet our productivity (time spent with clients and money earned for our agency). We are already getting written up for not meeting productivity standards, as it was raised this month. We are also not being told that we are improving or doing a good job if we have shown improvement, we are simply being told that we are not doing good enough. HELP!!!

Is doing a PhD the right idea?!?
I am starting my PhD in physiology (molecular biology) at a highly ranked university. Students in my lab start telling me that doing a PhD is not a good idea because you don't get a job with high degrees other than being a professor at a university. And they are actually ending their PhDs...

Is it true that pharmaceutical companies don't hire PhD holders? That they go for Technicians and PostDocs and award winning researchers/students?? Will I be over-qualified once I start looking for most available jobs?
What salary can I expect with being a PhD (starting salary and highest one?) in Canada or the USA. How about in Poland?
I'm 27 and my PhD is supposed to last 6 years. I'm just wondering if someone can give me advice on continuing my studies. Is it worth it if I want to work as a researcher and have a decent salary compared to bachelors or technicians??
Thanks!
