I'm planning to move to Vancouver as soon as I get my Master degree. I was wandering how people deal with finding jobs when they actually aren't in the area where the job is offered. If they put an adress far away from the city in the resumé, would the employer still be intersted? I red that it's better to be in the area when looking for the job but I also heard that some compagnies deal with that by making phone interviews. Anyone with a similar experience can help?

Know of any jobs in Cincinnati? I'm an artist, and an art ed major (junior), but any job not dealing with or serving food will do.

I graduated 1.5 months ago with a BS in Materials Engineering. I have 2 job interviews next week. About 3-4 people will be in the room interviewing me (at each interview).

My problem is I get nervous at interviews and begin to stutter. I can't annunciate, I can't think of words to say, I begin repeating things over and over. Needless to say, I get really embarassed and upset.

These interviews are a chance to get a really great job. I really need your advice and help on how to handle an interview.

Thanks so much in advance. I really appreciate.

It can be either at the interview or on your cv/job application form. Give details!

So long as you're here legally and you haven't defaulted on a past student loan you can be anything you want! Why continue to do something you hate so much that you want to retire from it at as soon as you can? Is it because you don't know what you want? Because you're too lazy to go back to school? Or because you'd rather be miserable than go into debt to get an education? I'm very interested in why people chose to stay in careers they hate.

I studied medical transcription, years ago. I'm just now considering trying to do this at home. Does anyone know if I would have to buy my own transcription equipment or how it works? Any info from someone already in this field would be highly appreciated!

I've had to clean up blood twice in the bathrooms at the gas station I work at without any specific instructions from my boss. I found out from a friends parent that the only way to properly clean up blood is with a hazardous waste kit which we don't even come close to having where I work. Should I tell some type of health authority about this?

Do you feel that the average American family is overworked or is the typical work week of 50-60 hours sound decent to you?

Do you feel that longer work weeks helps or hurts relationships/families in the US?

What do you think should be done about it?

I'm starting my 4th year of college and I am currently a Management of Information Systems Major. The problem is that I have been having second thoughts on if I really want to do this as a career.

Other options I have considered are Marketing, General Business, and maybe even Management.

I like the idea of general business because it gives you a wide range of knowledge to use. On the other hand it doesn't specialize into any one area and I'm not really sure what kind of job oppurtunities would be available to me with it.
