My Landlord just called me out of the blue to tell me he wanted to have a walk-through of the Apartment before the end of the month. He wanted to do it tomorrow, but I pushed for Wednesday (I know legally he must give 48 hours notice). When I asked him why he stated it was for insurance purposes.

We have not been late on any of our rent payments (he in fact has 6 months of post dated cheques) and we have not had any complaints against us from other tenants - anyone have any idea what "insurance purpose" he would be referring to?

I'm not that worried about my side of the house, but my room mate's room is another story - yet that's not even what bothers me, it's just kind of...a bad feeling to have someone root through your stuff.

okay I am planning on getting department store credit cards, and a visa or something I'm just 18 so I have no credit. How many months would you say it would take to build my credit enough to be approved for a personal loan? Assuming I pay the payments on time, and don't go in debt? Thanks for all the answers

I am really struggling to make payments on my credit cards. My credit score is already fairly bad, and I don't want to make it worse by making late payments. Would it hurt me for a long time to settle on one of my credit cards? If they do accept a settlement, what % should I go for?

Hi!
I have just signed up for my CNA's course and am hoping to start working next spring some time. After spending time with family (grandparents and such) in retirement homes, assisted living, and nursing homes, I really have no desire to work in them...however after spending weeks with an ill mother in a hospital, I would like to work in a hospital setting...
Some people have "eluded" to the fact that it's hard to get a hospital job right out of certification...is this the case? Or can I go right to hospitals and apply? Or do I need the nursing home or assisted living experience first?
Please, don't answer if you don't know.
Any CNA's opinions would be great!
Thanks!

It states that I "May be required to work additional hours when required and my salary includes an element for this" therefore it seems they will have a ticket to unlimited overtime from me with no pay. Should I sign or anyone know a tactful way around this?

Why would Fitnessquest seem so nice when it comes to sales, but completely ignore you after they get your cash? It seems like more and more companies that sell items like fitness equipment and "as seen on tv" ads are so distgustingly ignorant only after they have the green in their hands. Are we becoming a greedy nation or am I missing something here?

so you know me.. love computers and stuff...

anyways, i was thinking of making computers to sell. not an actual business, just a pastime with some benefits. like make a computer and sell it. problem is, i've been looking around for places to sell. i see a guy whose home built computer has been there for like months and hes got like 100% score. so ebays a bad option. craigs list? nah...

im not actually starting a business..kinda... its more like someone tells me what they want and i make a comp to sell to them. or i can make some comps and offer them around. any ideas?

Does anyone have experience with the "take over payment program" for houses?
You take over payments for property that's headed for foreclosure, and the house is yours once it's paid off. It sounds too good to be true because the payments are so low, for one thing.

Ok, I have this credit card that has this crappy $150 annual fee attached to it. The only reason I got it (and 2 others, that arn't AS bad) was to built up my credit.

Well, it seemed to have worked. I just recently got a card from my bank with a nice limit and no annual fee.

Anyway, my question is, when does the annual fee get taken out? 1 year from when I opened the account or will it hit on Jan. 1?

I'm thinking of paying it off to $0 and then cancelling, but, I'm not sure how much time I have to do it!

Thanks!
