If you are referring to a company you work for then yes.
If you are referring to ad companies tracking you using cookies then no. That can be stopped by automatically deleting all cookies except those you have listed in an exception list every time you stop the browser.

It makes no difference if the "should" be able to do anything. They CAN. Assume they ARE.
If you are referring to your employer tracking what you do on THEIR computers, you shouldn't be doing ANYTHING not directly related to your job. In that case, you have nothing to hide.
