My husband and I recently obtained our credit reports. Much to our dismay, there are several accounts on his report that are either errors or were charged by his ex-wife without his knowledge. I need to know if anyone has a good dispute letter or a link to a site that provides a draft that will get some results. We are not sure how much damage she has done since she had access to his social security number and other personal information. Has anyone ever had success with disputing these sort of things? Thanks for the help!

the payoff is more than the value of the truck. My husband wants to give it back to the finance company (wells fargo), but what will happen to his credit? Will he be able to get another car/truck with lower payments? We have also heard that the finance company will re-sell the truck for a lower price and still charge my husband the balance of what he owed on it. We can't refinance, or trade it... this payment has become a huge financial burden, any idea's? (2005 Ford F-150 STX balance owed 21,000. Another truck was traded in on this one, with the balance of the previous truck added to this one)

Does anyone know of a mortgage lender who is willing to lend to someone self employeed with other proof of income other that last two years income tax statements? I am a partner in an RV company and have easily made over 100-120k the last two years. I currently have almost no debt, less than $1000 a month. The broker I am working with is having a hard time getting the underwriters to accept my proof of income. My returns are under extension due to hurricane Katrina and Rita. I have offered bank statements to show, and even copies of my schedule K1 which clearly shows my partnership funds paid to me. My company CPA is even willing to send them an affidavit. This has been the only thing keeping me from closing on the property which the seller has accepted by offer on. I also have my VA elegibility letter. This really sucks because the one thing I am most sure of is my income and being truthful about it. I have paid cash for three new cars in the past two years, and have great cash flow.

I have been looking for a job, because I just graduated college with a medical office administrative degree, and I keep getting job offers from staffing companies. I am confused at what they actually do. I believe they find a job for you, but hire you for them first or something like that. If anyone has better information for me that would be great. Thanks!

I just got my first credit card about a month ago, but I was wondering if I should wait for the bill to come in the mail..or go ahead and pay it online now? On the website, there isn't even a payment due date yet..so I don't think it needs to be paid anytime too soon, but if paying it online will help my credit a little then I'll go for it. Thanks for any help

I am 60 years old and am disabled.

There are a few different questions here Please answer them ALL

I get SSDI, Workers Comp and will start to get a small pension ( $81.00 ) in Dec

I am told the pension is taxable,

But that is less than $1000.00 per year

Do I have to file a return for that amount ????

Are there limits to any other additonal income I may get ( like lottery winnings - I won $2700.00 in May ) ( like must get over $5,000.00 to file taxes ).

OR do I add the extra income ( the Pension and lottery - then subtract my individual deduction and pay taxes on the remaining.

I have been searching the net and CAN NOT find the asnswers
and do not have a lot of extra money to be using an accountant.

I get just over $12,000.00 from SSDI & Worker Comp.

So my income is around 13000.00 with the pension

I think my individual deduction is $3500.00

My landlord won't prepare a lease for me - I have known him for several years he's my old friends stepfather - and I've been living in his apartment since april and I pay a monthly rent and basically have to behave myself. Well I want to adopt another cat from a shelter and they won't let me without a rental lease agreement so I wanted to get a free one online that we both agree to, have him sign it, and that's that. well I was wondering if we'll have to have it notorized or anything special, or if I can just print it out from Word and we both sign it and then it's done.
