my company is encouraging me to enroll in the FSA plan. I dont know if it is worth it for me. My question is, if I get the plan and put in like $1000 or $1500 and I make almost $60,000/yr, is it worth it for me? Tax- wise? B/c thats why ppl get the plan, for the tax benefits, but if I only save a minimal amount, I dont want to do it b/c I dont want $40 or $60 taken out of every paycheck. Thanks in advance!

I've tried searching online, but didn't come up with anything substantial. I did pre-med as an undergrad, including a few interships where I got to ride around on the ambulances. How does a person become an EMT? What kind of degree does it require? Besides pay, is there a difference between volunteer EMT and career EMT? Is there such thing as a part-time paid EMT?

I had this couple that wanted to rent my duplex. They were a very well dressed spanish couple in their early 20's. They had been here from Mexico for 10 years & worked here, but did not have a Social Security number. They didn't have anyone that could guarantee the contract because they were not a resident of the U.S. I didn't have any choice but to have my real agent give them their deposit back they put down.
Would you have rented to them?

I bought my car through my credit union at work. My car payments are $323 a month, which I can afford, but my car insurance is $547 a month.

My question is, Is there any way that I can put my mother's name on my car and go back under her insurance policy, or any way that I can go back under her insurance policy AT ALL?

I'm not sure what can be done when there's a lein holder involved.

My only other options are - A] Go crazy from financial stress, B] Sell my car back and start walking or C] Work 2 full time jobs just so I can eat.

I want to take a seminar to learn how to properly do my taxes. It costs $1,000, and includes books, cds and in-class training. I'm not running a business - yet. Can I write this cost off? Perhaps as a tax expense or something else? I live in California and I'm in the 28% bracket.

I technically dont do either. I am living with my fiances parents until january, and then Im going to live in the college dorms. My dad recently died and the will says that his house goes to me, but we havent put it in my name yet. I still use the mailing address there, tho, and I have alot of my stuff at the house. Should I say that I own it? What difference does it make? I dont want them to think that since I own a home that I can sell it to get money or anything.

I have $3336.96 that I have a 23.74% finance charge on and $3179.76 that I have 16.74%. Both are on the same card and the principal will be applied the amount with the lesser finance percentage until that amount is paid first. How can I calculate the amount to pay combined to pay this off in 52 months? I had calculated what it would take to pay each amount off simultaneously but that isn't correct. My present answer is $189.72 per month, but I know that isn't right.

I would rather not have anyone know about this loan. The only living relative that I have would probably get upset and want to know what the loan is for, and its none of her business. What is the purpose for making me list one, and will they be contacted?

Beginning to look into buying stocks on E*Trade. How exactly does all this buying stocks work? Say if I want to buy one share from Buffalo Wild Wings (BWLD) for 38.85, I would first have to fund my account with 38.85 and after buying that share, I would a share of BWLD, right? And, whatever the change would be, whether it's more or less, that's how much "cash" I would have in my account, right?

Just looking for some newbie help with stocks and stuff.....
