No you will get stuck with the cancelliation fee. I just went thourgh all that. I too hate sprint nextel! What I can tell you is that about a month or so ago Sprint terminated customers for calling customer service too much. These people were calling about 45 times a month. When Sprint termintaed them they didn't make them pay the 175 fee or there last bill. Some thing to think about. It would take up some time but worth the try.

Well, this is going to go against everything that you have been told, so far, but, getting out of the cancellation fee can be done, but not by ignoring it. I switched to another carrier after 5 years with Sprint. The first 4 1/2 years were on a month-to-month basis. The problems started when I committed to a 2 year contract.

Without boring the world with the details, I tried, for 6 months to get some issues resolved, to no avail. (I even told them that was my reason for not going on contract before. Once they have you on a contract, customer service, effectively, ends.) I kept records of the dates and times of every contact with a CSR. I then wrote a letter to the president of Sprint explaining all of the issues I was having. I got two phone calls from people in the Sprint World Headquarters, but, still had no resolution to the issues. My last conversation was with a woman (whose name I will not mention, for her sake) who told me that I could either accept their compromise or shop for another carrier and she would eliminate the early termination fee. I chose the latter. When they sent me a bill for the cancellation fee, I sent a copy of my letter that was written to the Pres. of Sprint to the National Better Business Bureau along with the date and time of my conversation with the woman I mentioned earlier and what she had told me.

Within 30 days, I had received another call from a Sprint National representative who did cancel my contract and removed the cancellation fee from my record. After that, I received confirmation of the same from the National BBB.

No, you signed a contract. You'll need to pay the cancellation fee or it will go to collections and affect your credit.

By the way, we have Sprint and no real problems.

No, the cancellation fee is in your contract. You will be billed for it and if you do not pay it will show as a delinquency and eventual collection or charge off. That will hurt your credit for 7 years.

Ummmm, No. You signed a contract. Sprint is good for charging you out the wazoo if the bill is not paid and the contract is not fulfilled. Pay what you owe, plus the charge for early termination, and forget about it.

see if you can find someone to buy out your contact or take over for you it's all legal all you have to do contact customer service once you find someone and have the contract put in their name the person of course must be 18 and have good credit.
