Scotts lawncare keeps sending me a collection notice for lawnservice that I never agreed to. I keep disputing it but I am worried that they will place it on my credit file. I have A+ credit and do not want is destroyed over this. I never gave them a SSN, can they still put it on my credit report?

can someone please explain insurance terminology?
what does high deductible mean? who should get this and who SHOULDN'T? i am trying to help my parents by purchasing insurance for them. Dad's 51, smokes...Mom's 50 never smokes (no drinking either) no weight problems. No history of cancers etc.. I am not sure what to even look for.

I'm mad. Checking my FICO score from one of the 3 major credit bureaus, I see a score much lower than I expected. Upon review of the factors that impacted my score most, are 2 new factors I have never seen before. Both center around the idea that my home loan has too little credit available on the loan. Each just says it differently.

My home loan is a refinance. The financed amount does NOT reflect the value of my home. Therefore the "available" credit is technically much higher as you calculate my equity into the picture. In addition, as a refinance, there wasn't a down payment. I did that on my initial loan many years back. Since they know many homeowners recently refinanced, it's like they want to help credit lenders charge consumers more to borrow credit. They stack the chips against us. The fact I pay my bills on time and have for many years now and that I have zero negative marks apparently has less weight than my "newly refinanced mortgage". It's absurd and unfair.

Hi,
I just started a job around 3 months ago. I finally got through my probationary period and now qualify for the companies 401K program. I have never had a 401k before so i am somewhat in the dark regarding several things.
I have been told by several people that since it is close to the end of the year i would be better off just waiting until January to sign up - something about to avoid having to turn anything from it in on my tax return from this year. Is this a good idea?
Does it really matter? Would it make a difference if i signed up now, or just waited 2-3 months?
Thanks!

It been a long long time i know but i just realized today that i have not got it.... i received a letter in the ,ail saying i owed money to our local college and they would be taking the money from my state taxes to pay for it and i would be left with $130 after they deducted what i owed annd would be getting a check. I went to the college to re enroll and they said i couldnt because i owed them money. apparently the college never got paid either.... i need a phone number of someone to contact to see what is going on with this. I am almost 16 years old. I am not sure what i want to be when I get older, but I am interested in law. I got interested in it by watching law and order:svu, and now I want to learn more about it. What are some jobs that involve the law? I thought of a lawyer of course, but I don't think I could do that, since I have social anxiety. my anxiety isn't all that bad as I am on medication but being a lawyer is something that is porbably not possible for me. But I would have loved to do that. So can someone tell me some other law jobs? Thank you!

Meaning if you live in Texas, youre stuff is SAFE. Im just trying to figure out how far this collection agency will go with their threats if they cant take my property or garnish my wages?
