I have a second interview at a hospital for a patient registration position and I am thinking about wearing black slacks and a purple cable sweater Is this ok?

Sure, just pair it with black shoes and purse....and simple jewelry. Second interview...sounds very promising. Good luck!

It seems you are going to an interview at a funeral home, not a hospital -- black and purple! I would wear something more cheerful, if I were you. I'm not saying you should wear a Hawaiian shirt and Bermuda shorts, but surely you coudl wear a cream-colored shirt and a sky-blue skirt?

Go visit the hospital. See what those people are wearing.

The rule of thumb is dress slightly nicer for the interview then you would working there.

I heard several ways to dress for an interview. From dress professionaly, dress for the part, to dress like you would going out. Now, when I applied to my current job I dressed like I normaly would going out. Slacks, loafers, and a tropical shirt. When I went in to fill out the application a man walked up to me and said I looked like I am ready to go on vacation. I said that I am always ready. i didn't know that he is the plant manager and he about hired me on the spot and skipped the interview.
