Now how weird is this. I called a couple of weeks about a "warehouse" opening in the newspaper. I called the number and they told me that I would be a "secret shopper" and that they will mail the information I needed to get started. I just checked the mailbox and sure enough, there it was. But there was also a 2500 check!! The letter instructed me to keep 250 and send the rest by MoneyGram to someone in Canada. The name of the so-called business is ICM and the check is supposedly drawn on US Bank. At the bottom of the check though it says MoneyGram Payment Services in MN, but ICM is in New York. What should I do?

The bank statement for Rodney's Lawn Maintenance had an ending balance as of March 31 of $25,450.85. Also listed on the statement was a service charge for $21. Check No. 1825 that Rodney's wrote to pay for equipment purchased March 30 had not cleared the bank yet—the amount was $5,415. Deposits in transit were $7,850.25. Rodney's bank collected a $1,275 note for the firm in March. After reviewing the bank statement and cancelled checks, Rodney's discovered that the bank mistakenly deducted $1,875.93 from the firm's account on a check that was written by Rogers's Lawn Maintenance.

Calculate the true cash balance as of March 31. (Round your answer to 2 decimal places.

I am looking for a home to buy, and I put an offer in on one Sunday. I am renting a home, month to month, my lease expired a long time ago. However my landlord told me to just give him a 30 day notice if I plan on moving. But the thing is that I don't know when or if the bank will accept my home offer, and as soon as they do, it is my home and I will have to start making mortgage payments on it, and I will move in of course..but it could take them a week to 3 months I heard to approve my offer. this house is awful & it's not insulated at all and the pipes freeze in the winter, leaving us without water for days. my heat bill last winter was $400.00 a month for a 1,000 square foot house with no basement so I'd like to get out of here asap. especially b/c I have a 6 month old now. The landlord has a sec. deposit equal to a little over a mo. rent. should I just move out & he can take the sec. deposit as the rent? The house is in good condition. Can I get in any kind of trouble?

I have lost some records of the amount of interest that was paid to me by my Savings & Loan bank where I bought some Certificates of deposits ( CDs ) for 6 month period at a time & auto renewed them every six months.

Is there a way to find the approximate savings account interest rates for CDs from 1992 to 2005 ?

I know that it varies from bank to bank and also depends on the amount deposited ( Mine was over 10 K ) but usually Savings & Loan banks used to pay higher percentage rate than a regular bank but as far as I remember it was still not more than one percent higher than a regular bank.

Any help would be appreciated.

Like drive an decent or nice car, middle size house and yea phone and food bills still and not worry so much about bills and money. What do you think should be the salary range for that? Do you think I can live comfortably with about 50,000 to 60,000 a year. Or maybe even 70,000 to 90,000?

He wants to know if he can claim me as a dependant. Can he? If he can do I still need to file? What forms do I need to fill out? I have no idea what to do with my taxes. I don't quite understand what papers I need to fill out. Please help! Thanks

I'm using the dinktown.net calculators and I'm factoring in my current balance, monthly payment, APR, etc. and it wants to factor in my annual fee.
The problem is I'm not sure if I even have an annual fee. Does every card have one? I don't remember ever paying this. Or does it already factor into my monthly payments?
If it helps I'm talking about a bestbuy card and and AAFES Star card.

Just wondering if nowadays in the uk, renting a property and assuming u only buy lets say 20 quid shopping a week and spend 30 in petrol, could you live on 1100 a month with your partner and a baby? My partner is disabled (club foot) and as I am also studying we can both only work part time but are considering having a child. Can you get help with the government if you are on that type of income? If not, is it doable to live on 1100 a month? Maybe some of you have had to do it?
Thanks for your help.

I've lived in an apartment for the past 3 years. I signed a 1 year lease when I moved in, and havent signed another one since. So I this automatically puts me on a month to month basis. RIght?

Now I'm moving in 2 weeks. I called my manager to tell her, and she said since I did not give her a 30 day notice she has to take 1 months rent from my security deposit for lost rent for the month of novemeber. And she said that my lease clearly states that. Which it does.... but my lease also clearly states that it expired 1 year after I signed it. So I dont think I should have to pay anything out of my security deposit unless its for damages to the apartment. Am I right, or is she right?

I've recently gotten a job at Meijer and will be starting soon. So, will I get an employee discount? And if so, will my family also be willing to use it (Because my mother shops there a lot) or will I need to be with them? And what is the discount percent? Thanks!

(I would prefer answers that you are relatively sure about. I've asked this before and got contradicting responses.)
