Gee, here is a novel thought, why don't you just work as many hours as you can get and stop being a drag on society. The purpose of unemployment is not to let you work the least number of hours possible and still make rent.

Rules vary from state to state. Usually its not hours but a dollar amount and that amount is pretty low.
You should ask at the unemployment office or at least check their website.

That depends on if you want to go to prison or not. Unemployment means no work and no pay. If you earn 5 dollars a week, then you can't be unemployed.
