Do not go to FreeCreditReport.com. They require you to sign up for their monitoring service and it can be a hassle trying to cancel before the 30 day free trial period ends.

AnnualCreditReport.com is the site set up to get your reports from all three credit bureaus online. Reports are free but you have to pay if you want your score -- everyone charges for scores.

Here's the phone number. Call and find out what ID they require:
Equifax
800-685-1111

Experian
888-EXPERIAN (397-3742)

Trans Union
800-916-8800

Debt that is more than 7 years old (from the date of delinquency) is past the reporting period and shouldn't be on your report.

It is always a good idea to keep track of your credit history once a year. It'll help you see the improvements or possible downside in your credit history.

This is a government mandated site where you can get your credit report from the 3 credit bureaus for FREE without asking for your credit card. You can get your free report once every year. Logon to internet where U can also print and get your free report and SAVE it.

If you are interested in getting the FICO scores, there's a small amount of $$.

go to www.freecreditreport.com. You can request a copy of your credit from all three this way. Also, if you have been recently denied credit, you can request one for free. See your denial letter for info on where they based there decision from.
