this is what happen i own somebody 400.00 and i sent 200.00$ Canadian money in a envelope (yes i know thats very unsafe but i didn't know until now)They said that they cant change currency's? Dont Banks in USA changes Currency's?

some do... but not all....

And any of them that do.. charge a fee to do it....

Yes you can change currency in the US. Most easily in border towns. But most major airports also have a bank that will change money at the most current exchange rate. I think that even in smaller banks it can be done, but it takes a little longer. Not for sure on that one though.

Yes they do but they charge a fee. Your friend should be able to take your Canadian dollars to his bank and get something less than what they are worth. Not all banks will do this service, but most will.

Next time consider getting a bank check drawn in US dollars and mailing it to him, or wire him US dollars.

Go to the mall. There's always a currency operator there.

I would think so. I know that the casinos around me will most definitely exchange currency.

any COMMERCIAL bank in USA can change the Canadian to US $. Savings banks cannot do this.

Change it there that way when you arrive in the US you will be ready to go and not have to worry about it.
