... from my employer, and need to know if I should consult with a tax attorney, OR, a CPA to get the very best advice on how to minimize my tax burden legally.

In other words, which professional would give me the most comprehensive advice?

Thanks!

Paying intrest only sounds great to all these people so they can buy new houses for monthly payments fraction of the cost but that only lasts for a limited time and your then going to pay the full monthly payments which then about triples the amt you were paying. This is why so many houses are going into forclosing right now. This is what is causing tons of companies to go under and people to lose their jobs. Stop buying houses you cant afford!

I recently got offered a position with Liberty National Life Insurance, they need agents, which is a pretty work at home job,

here's the catch, I got to pay $100 to get state licensed, he sounded pretty nonchalant about me doing my own research and calling him back if I was still interested

sound like a scam?

If I have a permanent place of work 15 miles away, I am contracted to work there permenantly but my contract says in certain crcumstances in the interests of the company I can and will be located elsewhere, such places are not defined. When this happens (about 10% of my contracted hours) I travel more than 15 miles, say 20 miles, my company says I can only claim the excess miles travelled, 5 miles in this case or 10 miles as its a return journey. A friend of mine said as I am travelling to a temporary place of work, I can claim relief for the whole cost of the journey from my home i.e 20 miles plus 20 miles return = 40 miles in total, is this true? If so can I claim back any milage I may have been due?

I'm trying to make the smartest financial move. I bought condo in April 2006. Buying the condo with interest-only payments was not the best move, but I wanted to flip it. However, the market tanked in 2006 and I got stuck with the condo. Yes, I live in the condo. Im living paycheck to paycheck right now. I do have reserve capital saved for a year. The mortgage interest is deductible. Condo is in Florida in a gated community with the best location. 1/1 bed/bath. 626 sq feet. I bought it for 100k. TERMS: Fixed rate at 6.5% on the first mortgage, 80k. $605/monthly. Adjusts after 10 years. 2nd mortgage ARM on 20k. Payments $178 montly. 9%interest.
Thinking of either selling, renting, or refinancing when the market turns around in future. Holding right now. I cant keep making interest-only payments forever! I need an intelligent person to help me make the smartest financial move. I have 9 more years until mortgage adjusts. Should I sell, refinance, or rent in the future? I want to profit $

a neighbor got their apartment condemned, another neighbor took a photo of the sign on the door. Even though the photo was not distributed, or sold, the landlord is still trying to hunt down who did it, and persue legal action.

everyone has the right to stand on public property and take a photograph of whatever they deem appropriate, correct?

personally, i believe the woman that got her apartment condemned in the first place got what was coming. she never cleaned, and thinks the health inspector was out to get her. i share an attic space with her, and what i smell tells me, the health inspector was just doing their job.

what do you think? what can or cant you take a photograph of? what does this landlord have to power to do?

I work on the 10th floor of a high rise office building. I have a cubicle. No open windows, recyled air /poor venelation.

There is a co-worker who wears extremely heavy perfume.
I have allergies/sensitivities to this sort of thing. The scent lingers wherever she is/has been and it you can taste it on your tongue - yuck! This morning I really had a physical reaction to it. My eyes and skin got itchy, I sneezed and my throat is all scratchy now. I did not have these symptoms until she was around this morning.

I have been hoping someone who is closer to her here at work would say something to her privately. I can't imagine no one else noticing! That has not happened.

I have only been here about a year. I do not want to alienate anyone or cause a problem.

How do I handle this?
Do I say something to her? To our supervisor?
Just stock up on Benedryl and keep silent?
Make a subtle statement by wearing a gas mask when in her presence?

Thanks in advance for any help.

My fiance and I extended our year-long lease in back in July. Our original landlord was very attentive, and happy to attend to any problems we had with the property. Unfortunately, he sold the property, and now we are stuck with landlords that are unattentive and rude. We notified them of problems with leakage in the bathroom almost a year ago, and they neglected to fix it. Unable to stand it anymore, we removed the drywall and fixed the leak ourselves and put a new tile floor in to replace the damaged linoleum. Months ago, a new leak sprung, which we notified them of, and they still have not had it fixed. The drywall is growing black and purple mold, tiles are falling out of the shower walls, and the grout has turned almost completely black. I am tired of paying so much to bathe in a mold-laden bathroom. In addition, the wall paper is peeling, the carpets are damaged, and they NEVER pick up the rent on time (my check will sit in the mailbox for days). Can I legally get out of this?
