I recently got a letter from the collection agency saying I owed my chool medical center $200 plus they accrued interest of $45. and the collection agancy also filed this collection to credit report which hurts my credits a lot.
Question:
1) can the collection angency charge me interest rate, I asked my school who did not accrue any interest, so basically the collection angency added the interest themselves.
2) Can they file to the credit bureau to have my credits affected to force me to take care of the debt.
3) My wife happened to give the collection angency my credit card number when they talked to her on the phone, can I have the bank to stop paying for collection angency unhil I get things straight out .

I heard on CNN that one might be able to enter into renegotiation of a sub-prime or low interest rate with the lender. I have one that will expire in June 2008, but carries a penalty of about $2000 (at this time) and less as the maturity of the loan matures.

I was not told that this was the type of loan I had applied for, although when I signed the papers I was surprised that my interest payments would skyrocket after three years and that if I refinanced before that time that I would have to pay penalties.

My question is directed at mortgage professionals in that can I ask and obtain a current interest rate without paying those penalties and without paying typical refinancing fees (closing costs)? What questions would I ask or how would I answer questions regarding transitioning to a fixed rate?

On CNN Donald Trump stated that, "The lender does not want your house". He continued by saying to "negotiate" with the lender to transition to a fixed rate. How do I do this?

Well.. I've been working at a crisis shelter for runaway teens for 2 years. I've basically mastered my job in that time, getting promoted to shift supervisor. A few months ago they hired a new guy, took away 2 of my shifts, and gave them to him. Thus taking away my right to my medical benefits (not enough hours). Two more shifts are opening up, and they aren't sure who they will give them to.

Facts about my coworker:
-He only has an associates, and has minor training
-is a no call/ no show often, and is usually late.
And the reason why they give him shifts is because he has a six year old son that he can't financially support.

So if they take these away from me as well, should I quit? Am I overreacting?

Dear friend, My name is Mrs. Mary-Ann Williams, a wife of late Mr.George Williams, an American Businessman based in West Indonesia. I got your contact through the listed postal address in your country. I lost my husband to the international disaster in West Indonesia (the Tsunami attack) and I am also in the hospital receiving treatment after the exposure to the hard conditions of the Tsunami. I have been diagnosed with Esophageal cancer .It has defiled all forms of medical treatment, and right now I have only about a few months to live, according to medical experts. My Late husband and I before his death once asked members of his family to close one of our accounts and distribute the money which he had there to charity organization in Ethiopia and Somalia; they refused and kept the money to themselves. Hence, I do not trust them anymore, as they seem not to be contended with what we have left for them. The last of my money, which no one knows of is presently secured in a bank in Europe worth US$15,000,000.00 (Fifteen million United States dollars only) and this could be released at short notice when a willing and acceptable beneficiary emerges. I want you to help me collect this deposit and dispatched 80% (of the total funds) to charity organizations in your country stating my name as the donor , While 20% is for you as compensation for carrying out my instruction. I will furnish you with more information upon your assurance and willingness to assist in ensuring that the funds are distributed as I have instructed.

Capital one offered me a nice balance transfer rate of 1.99% for the life of the balance (2,000) does anyone know if I have to use the card for purchases in order to keep that rate? becuase otherwise its not worth it since payments go to lower interest rates before higher ones, I don't want a 500 dollar purchase balance to be at 14.9 sitting while I pay the 2,000 off. Ever done this before? I know discover has some stupid rule like that...just want to make sure I'm not screwing myself over becuase i'd rather have it at 1.99 then 18.24 with citi cards...help!! thanks!

The judge dismissed it however now, I have a judgement against me on my credit report from the landlord stating that I owe him 2500.00. How can he do that ?

I am unemployed and I am looking for work. I have applied for jobs but the only thing employers tell me is they don't have openings just yet. I have been told if you want to get hired, you have to keep going almost everyday of the week until you wear the employers down to the point they go ahead and give you the job. I hate to be a pest and bother people after they already told me they don't have openings at the moment and to be patient and wait a few weeks. Should I go ahead and keep bugging them until they hire me?
