I am unemployed and I am looking for work. I have applied for jobs but the only thing employers tell me is they don't have openings just yet. I have been told if you want to get hired, you have to keep going almost everyday of the week until you wear the employers down to the point they go ahead and give you the job. I hate to be a pest and bother people after they already told me they don't have openings at the moment and to be patient and wait a few weeks. Should I go ahead and keep bugging them until they hire me?

no, you need to get out and get your applications out to more people that are hiring.

There are plenty of opportunities in fast food or in a restaurant as wait staff where you can get hired quickly.

If you are not even scoring an interview, then it is likely because you are making a terrible impression and they are denoting such on the application.

Dress to kill, comb your hair, spit out the gum, remove all face jewelry and piercings when you meet the managers/flunkies handing out the applications.
