basically what u need is not a business idea but a product which sells in the college and u have to make it.

1. you can buy lunch boxes, stationary, coffe mugs etc ( products used my young people) in the dollar mart or bulk stores for cheaper prices, change them into more funky or artistic and sell them back.
for example if u buy a plain photo frame, colour it in bold colours and resell it for a profit.

2. u can make greeting cards, wall hangings etc with paper or papier mache and sell them.

as u said u have to create a product, u can buy a cloth and stich them to jeans tops and skirts. if that is hard atleast u can stich curtains pillow covers etc. embroidered hand kercheifs, hand bags etc.

3. can sell crochet or knitted items,.

EDIT ADDED:
4. can also make candles in different shapes and sizes

Not a product as such but I think there should be restaurants that sell diet food, based on Weightwatchers points and Slimming World Syns with the point/syn value for each choice on the menu. Considering most women are on diets I think it would go down a storm.

For a product perhaps think along the lines of what would be really useful or make life easier for people. It could be something for the elderly

Look at something which will appeal to the largest possible group of people. Look at how well Friends Reunited has done as an example, as most people share the experiance of going to school and so its relevant to them.
Maybe look at the area you live (where is that) what's around there industry wise that may need some kind of product. Where is there a large volume of people, what area will you service.

Do you have to sell it to fellow students or the local community or anywhere?
What problem does your target market have?
What are they willing to pay for the solution?
The failure to answer these questions before making a product is why most business struggle.
Most schools do not teach people to manage money or to beHappy.

With Christmas coming up, how about something holiday related. Bird seed coated pine cones (dipped first in peanut butter then rolled), with ribbons attached to wreaths, or done decoratively to display outside is one item I've seen done very nicely around here.

Something colorful and useful? Something decorative? Something used by women? Men? Teens?

product should be suitable for the young. and should be cheap and affordable. Then when competing you can sell more. Also should attract more to the ladies. and should be able to wear and show people.
