My wife is quitting work for good in December when we have our third baby. We're then planning on cashing out one of her IRAs that she had at her original job to pay off our car and a smaller home loan. She now works 3 days a weeks and she'll make about $40,000 this year. Next year having quit her job she'll obviously be making $0. Will it be better to cash out the IRA in January of next year or in December of this year? Will it make a difference?

We figure we'll need to pay about 25% in taxes plus the 10% penalty. It's my understanding that they'll withhold that from the distribution up front and then you just claim the total on your income taxes at year end, is that right?

There's a builder in my town who offers something called a 'home trade program'. Just like trading cars, they buy your house when you buy theirs. That's not the part in question. They'll pay several thousand more for your house than it's worth if they need to so that you can afford to buy their higher priced homes. I do know that there are legal limits to where you can get cash to put into a house, and that it has to be disclosed (like a gift from a parent or something). And that the builder couldn't just give you $25,000 to use to purchase his house. so is it basically the same thing to pay you $25,000 extra for your house?

The other side of the story is that the houses you buy from them are overpriced about $25,000 (compared to other houses in the neighborhood).

i have been at my job 7 months and it has been rough to say the least. no one was friendly to me from the get go and there were a couple of times when people were downright rude. i am generally a pretty friendly, nice person, so i didnt really understand it. i blamed it on the way i looked or the way i was acting. i started to become friendly with a couple of people i work with, but now i feel like they avoid me again. i will glance at them to say hi and some people will blatantly look away and i dont really understand it. i am fine with the 2 guys i work closely with but i feel everyone else is very judgemental of me. i dont even gossip and am nice to everyone. ive asked my boss if it's something im doing and he says im always very pleasant, so i dont really understand what to do. how do i turn this around?

Thats all you hear people say, "Its to easy to get credit" I have certainly never found it easy, At 18 when my friends where getting tortured with credit card and loan junk mail I can honestly say I never received anything.

I tried to get a debit card from the bank at 18 again declinded, I tried to get a contract phone at 19 and only got one by putting down a £100 deposit, unfortuntaly I lost my job 6 months into the contract and was unable to pay, I missed payements for 2 months and then got myself back on track but since then I have found it impossible to get credit.

I'm 27 now had no credit since that contract phone but I can't get credit, I have been declinded credit cards,HP, even a mortgage a few years ago, it doesn't seem to matter a damn either I have quite a good salary.

I have checked my credit file and all is fine,

So I would say getting credit is certainly not easy, Oh 27 and still haven't even got a debit card, I still get declinded to this day

Hi,
I live in south Alabama and work in North Florida. I am looking for someone in my area to make scented soy candles for me in bulk that I can attach my own labels to. I could save on the shipping by picking them up instead of having them shipped. Please leave info on how to contact you in your answer or email me at sglandingham@yahoo.com
Thanks!

I was going through a Divorce, had a second job that, unknown to me, wasn't taking enough tax out. I was unaware of the problem and the law and now I'm stuck owing Uncle Sam for the first time in 40 years. I want to pay what I owe but the rest is killing me. I can't afford a lawyer, see above 'divorce' - lol.
thank you.

I've just started this week. Only 200 books to start with part-time because i already have a job. I only got 70 books back, with 6 orders totalling £60. Does it get better? Any tips or suggestions much appreciated. I hope to turn it into a full-time job eventually. With maybe 6 rounds (1200 books). What can i expect to earn?

I recently noticed that many large companies like McDonald's, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, other insurance companies, government agencies, and...oh, anyone who advertises...use some of the same stock photos of models in the same poses. I may see a man in a blue shirt and apron as the subject for an ad for FedEx, and another day see the same pic used for a restaurant ad. I'd love to find out more about the people who match the right photos with the advertisers. What specific line of work are these people in? Advertising? Media? Publishing? What are some of their job titles?

I interviewed for a job on Friday- one that I really hope I get. I actually forgot to send a thank you note after the interview, and it didn't occur to me until Tuesday. So I sent my interviewer an email thanking him and expressing my interest in the position.

Was this bad etiquette, or was it acceptable?

I have just taken out a loan and in order to 'proceed' with the application, they have just rang me to ask some 'personal' questions. These ae basically (I discovered after answering) a way to scaremonger you into taking out payment protection, which I never take out. He may as well have presented me as just about to lose my job, die and/or be involved in an accident and get a terminal illness, all at once. For one minute I nearly wavered and took the protection.
Does anyone else ever feel like they are about to drop dead when they start going on about payment protection?

My husband will be graduating Medical School shortly, and soon he will have to send out letters of recommendation to different Hospitals. My question is.. What is the best place to live in Illinois, besides Chicago? We lived here all are lives, and living costs are very expensive. we stay in an apartment along with are 5 children, and trust me it is tight!! so we want to relocate out of Chicago and buy a house "a Huge one!" but would like to know what locations in Illinois or even another state, would give a huge home, great neighborhood, and schools, along with a reasonable price range for purchase of a home. I mean sure you can spend 400,000 on a home in Chicago. but there.are going to be several things wrong with it and its to small. So we are looking for even brand new homes that give you more Bang for the buck . please we really need this help and like I mentioned before, if you don't know anything about Illinois and other state would be very helpful to us also
