I recently got fired from a position due to the tardiness. I am more mature now, but the position that i was working at is a big part of my experience qualifications. During the interview, should i lie about being fired, and give them a fake supervisor's name or should i tell the truth or what? They always ask for the sup's name and #

Does anyone else get really nervous about starting a new job? I may be getting offered a new job that would cause me to change residences as well as adapt to a new work environment. I am very anxious about this change. Am I unusual to feel this way? For people who get nervous about such things, how did you deal with the change and what strategies did you use to calm your nerves? Any advice will help : )

How can nearly all of the candidates for President (not to mention also most of those who are in Congress) possibly *not* realize that ALL of the complex problems associated with federal taxation would be eliminated FOREVER (and overnight!) by replacing the IRS with a National Sales Tax? It would be 100% fair to everyone, and the government would still glean just as much revenue. (And -- the people would have ALL of their income available to spend, as they chose. Which would make them wonderfully happy and content.) It's THAT easy!

I have an online store based in Ga. We want to be able to sell to all of the contiguous United States. I need to know how to charge sales tax. If someone in any other state orders from us, do we have to charge sales tax? If so, what tax rate do we charge? Should we just charge tax in every state?

I have a computer science degree and a vision of providing a virus-removal service to local customers. Plenty of home-computer owners are infecting their computers with viruses and spyware every day, and they only need to know that my business exists. How can I effectively advertise to such a market? Do you think such a business is viable, when it targets such a specific service?

Clearly, I have competition from the national guys who provide in-home service. I would distinguish myself by specializing in virus and spyware removal. Also, I would lease an office if this would sufficiently help with perception of legitimacy.

I was involved last week in a rear-end accident (me being the person who was hit in the rear).Their insurance company took 100% liability (I have posted other questions regarding this accident..feel free to read & offer opinions to those as well) but now my question is this: when I went to ER and to my regular doctor for a check up which I am going again Thursday. I was told last week to let the ER know that I had personal insurance through my work b/c if not my medical bills could go over the policy limit that the person hit me had. So I did. I faxed the hospitals and doctor my insurance information and also gave them the lady's name & claim # from the other persons insurance company. #1 Does this mean I won't recieve any bills? #2 Does this mean the at fault insurance company will pay all? #3 Does this mean I still have to pay co-pay when I go for check up? #4 When we settle will I recieve money to pay the hospital bills or will that already be covered? And last if I recieve a

About a month before she died, my Aunt transferred her house into my name using a quit claim deed. We did not talk about her homeowners insurance. After she died, I could not find any information on who her agent was or who the company was. When the premium bill came, I promptly paid it. About a month later, the company sent a letter asking if anyone was living in the house. The house is vacant. I gave them details on me and a copy of the death certificate and the deed and explained the situation. I never heard from them again. The question is, typically, does coverage cease when the insured passes away? Or does it automatically transfer when the house changes ownership? The house is free and clear by the way.

My son wants to buy my home which is already paid for. We both agreed on a price and he is going to get a loan approval. What do I need to do next? Is this a good idea to do without the help of a realtor since it is family? He is a little irresponsible, but if he can get the loan and buy it then that's fine. I just don't want to be part of any problems in the future. Any suggestions?

ok I had 4 credit cards that i stopped paying on back in 2003.
so on my credit report I have the original lendors reported it as charge-off with zero balance, then i have those 4 debts go to a collection agency with again a charge off with zero balance and "sold/transferred" in remarks. so in short i have 4 debts that was sold/transferred 2 to 3 times, and all of those collection agencies show up on my report. Now i finally got fed up and paid those collection agencies a total of $3200. Those collection agencies have reported those debts as "paid".
I already tried the pay to delete method and didnt work, they say that cant do that, i even tried to pay them a little extra to delete.
So my question is now that I've paid the collection agency that last had my debt, can i get the previous collection agency that had my debt from which it was "sold/transferred" from deleted?
If so how would i do so?
I want to buy an house in couple of months, so please guide me.
thank you

A friend of mine owns a small company and got behind on payroll taxes. He entered into an agreement with the IRS to pay monthly. He has kept his agreement for almost a year now without missing a payment.

Now he received a bill to him personally stating that he owes the amount of payroll taxes as an individual. Does he owe the payroll taxes twice? The agreement on behalf of his company includes the payroll taxes.

I've been reading some answers on here about prepaid credit cards and some want to say they are a complete ripoff. Oh, so credit cards aren't? They say this because of the fees. I could get a Visa Wired Plastic for $9.99 one time activation fee and $3.95 a month for maintenance. That's it. A measly $48.00 a year. Only $3.95 to reload. Same with Western Union prepaid Mastercard. Okay, why not buy a pair of $100.00 shoes, 7% sales tax, which would be $107.00 with a prepaid. With a regular credit card, they will charge something like 20%, plus they also have a minimum you pay every month. That would be $107.00 plus 20%, all to the credit card company. See the difference? Now who's the ripoff?
