My husband and I have been looking at single/studio apartments in the West LA/Santa Monica area because one bedroom aptartments are too expensive, and landlords say that they will not rent to two people. Is this legal?

I owned a LLC and provides consulting services for my client. However, this client (and the only client, a corpration) only issues 1099 to individual, not to LLC because It's my client's company policy.

Can I just report all 1099 income, wiich issued to my, with my SSN, into my LLC (becuase this is indeed my LLC's income) tax return, not into Sch C in my indicidual tax teturn without any trouble from IRS?

I mean one that actually works and pays you? I know there are many out there--but I also know many are scams to get your money. I'd love to find a business I could do from home. The only training I have is nursing and also corrections--hardly internet business material! I'd prefer a legal business also!

I applied on line for a government grant. The next day they called me to tell me I was approved. I had to print out and sign a contract and send it with a cashiers check, for the grant writing fee, via express mail. Then call the customer service number and tell them the tracking number. A few hours later the agent taking care of me called me back to confirm the tracking number. I was told by them that I would recieve a packet in the mail in about 4 weeks. Included in the packet was a questionare to answer and be sure to sign with origional signature so the government knows it is an actual person recieving the grant. I was even given a PIN number I would need to access my account . If I don't get it within 4 to 6 weeks I am to call and they will track it down. They congratulated us again on getting the grant. They did not ask for personal information,checking account info or even soc. sec. number. It sounds legitimate but I've never done this before and am just now learning of scams.

I am paying my 35.00 monthly. "Still" . I have the original collection notice of our agreement dated 4/07. It is the standard form offering me 3 options. I chose the hardship plan where I written in the $35.00 monthly amount and sent it back. I have the original copy of this agreement. . This account has only been with the C/A for 4 months of which I have paid this exact amount. I want to thank everyone for your answers. I am going to look into a bankruptcy as I can't do it all financially. I will continue paying...In looking at my credit debt; I owe appx. $3500.00. And believe it or not...ive paid off some of my debt. I went from a full time job to a part time job. Big Sigh. Thank you all for listening and your advice.
