My friend wants to make a 100% cash, no-finance offer on a house in Tucson, and he was told by his agent that he could not submit a bid without a pre-approval letter for a loan. Is this right? Is this legal? Thanks for any help...

I haven't filed in four years ( long story involving bad experience with ex-wife), but none the less i need to get caught up and have some of my paperwork. I have been self employed off and on over the last four years, Iheard theres a place you can get all your income history and I did a search on the IRS website but I didn't have any luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated very much. Thanks

I'm 25 years old, have a BA in Communications with two minors, Eagle Scout, and have been working since junior year in High School.

I was fired from my previous job three months ago (Wasn't my fault and I was awarded unemployment). Now I don't know what to do. I can't even get jobs that don't require a degree and experience. And when I actually do land an interview, I always manage to blow it. Temp agencies are no help, I sign up but they can't find me anything. I feel like I can't do what I want because there's always someone on the other side saying "You're too stupid for this job".

Anyways, I just need some advice on what to do.

(BTW...I don't qualify for the military)

I have heard that after 150,000 of Annual Gross Income (AGI), the mortgage interest you pay on your primary home cannot be deducted fully, is that true? If so what is the formula to use to figure out the actual tax deduction available

i was ringing up this lady at the store today (bookstore) and she spent like 400.00 dollars worth in books, and i put everything in the bag and she walked off and i realized.. i didn't give her her receipt to sign and it was debit transaction, and its my first day on the job and i asked someone who was training me i was like "i need to get her to sign this" and she wasn't far away and he's like don't worry about it.. it happens..
is that a huge deal?, i mean our bookstore will buy back books.

Why instead of a bailout doesn't the government force the lenders to work with their customers to refinance their mortgages into a more affordable option than the options that mortgage brokers put them into? Wouldn't that be a better solution?

I'm legal resident of the United States for little more than 3 years, not a citizen yet.
Property which intended to be sold is current residence of my close relatives(mother, father and grandmother) they will move here in New York City and reside as permanent residents.
My question is: do they have to pay any kind of taxes, if yes then what % of the whole amount.
Also, as they do not have any banking accounts here in US, possibly, they'll transfer these money to my account electronically. In that case would I be liable for any kind of taxes from amounts appeared on my accounts?
Thanks in advance.
Any answer/advice will be gladly appreciated.

I cant really tell, but the pic kinda has a resemblance.
What really makes me think that is the way he answers a question.
It just sounds like the way Jack Nicholson talks.
