Been scammed w/ providencetrustinc.com who offered a $6000 loan, provided I paid upfront an insurance payment of almost $600. I had sent it thru moneygram just to find out that they needed more money bcuz he had made a mistake of the amount the ins. company was collecting. I refused, but never heard back from them. I am in so much in need of this loan at this time. pls. help!

Hi everyone. I have some random things that I want to sell. I am not sure if I should go Amazon Marketplace, Amazon Auctions or Ebay Auction? Who is better known as far as selling something and actually getting the sale?
If I do a reserve price with Ebay and it doesnt sell then I have to pay for reserving the item. How does that work ? Do they bill you and how much? Would you Craigslist?

This is a purely hypothetical question: Say someone wins a million dollars, I’m sure the taxes on that would be around $350,000 to $400,000 (??) – My question is, could those taxes be avoided with an equal donation to a church? If not avoided altogether in a situation like that, how much could the taxes be lowered through donations to a church?

I am extremely interested in putting together a small-scale (5-10 acres), organic, sustainable permi-culture farm. Any ideas? Nothing too cold, or too hot. Preferably lush with nearby forests. Thank you.

Many managers or businessmen tell that they are very busy and cannot take more than two or three days off without coursing problems in the usual run of their work. I think it depend of the style of management: many are afraid of sharing their work or responsibility with others, and carry all the burden themselves. But practice proves its inefficiency: a good manager should know how to organize the work of his team, should teach and help his people, and if he can provide the good run of his business for a comparatively long period without his presence - he's a good manager.

My wife and I want to begin to save for a home, and we realize it will take us a couple of years before we are ready to buy a home. While saving our money we are thinking that investing it in some mutual funds might help us reach our goal quicker, so my question is what style of mutual funds should we invest in? Growth, conservative, moderate, ect?

I recently started a new job, and I hate it. The people are snobby, I have had virtually no training, and I make less money then I did before I took this job. I took it because my husband wanted me to, and now I'm miserable. I want to know if I have a bad case of new job jitters, or is it something else?

I heard I can only receive something like $12K tax free. If my parents give me more than that amount, Must I claim the excess gift money as regular income? Since the IRS has no mechanism for parents to report the gift giving, how will the IRS know if I do not file a claim? In other words, is this an "honor system" situation?

Background...we have never missed a month of rent before. We told our landlord on the 5th that we were going to be moving this month. and that we would pay her the rent up to the day that we are completely out. But pay her the day we leave. She told us we had until the 20th to be out. We never got an eviction notice for failure to pay or anything like that. We are in the middle of getting everything out right now, and yes, the house is a mess, cause we're putting things in 3 different places. Our temporary house, our house (we need to finish the remodel before we can move in), and storage. Today, i went to get another load from the house, and she had come and changed the locks. She left my husband a message on his cell phone today saying that she has filed an arrest warrant for me stealing her stove (which is in the garage on the property...it's gas, and I have 3 curious children, so we bought an electric). and for leaving her house a mess. We aren't done...Can she do this??

I rented a property from a landlord 2 1/2 years ago. He lied to me about being the owner. He THEN helped to sell that property while I still had a lease. He offered to rent me another property he owned. He offered reduced rent due to repairs being needed. He rented to me for two years, then sold THIS property. He gave me a VERBAL notice I have 30 days to move. He finaly agreed to provide a 30 day notice after two weeks, but says I still have to be out by the end of the month. I sent him a letter stating that I will TRY to be out by the first after I got the verbal notice. He is stating that he will change the locks on the door and have my thigs hauled away or sold as of the first (at my cost). Is this legal, can he do this? And who can I talk to about this? Reno Housing wont help since I am not section 8.
