well I am in California and the broker I work for will cover a house for at least $200.00 a sq ft. but this will change with the area you are in. also he will add an addition coverages such as extented replacement cost of at least 125% or even 150% as he sees fit

the amount to rebuild...I think most include a percentage for seperate structures, replacing belongings and the cost of a place to live while you rebuild...I have always tried to carry guaranteed replacement coverage, but there are few carriers left in CA.
