Statistically speaking. I have to collect on unpaid debts or I loose commission at my job. I would like to know the optimal time and day of the week to attempt to collect on the outstanding balances.

I am helping a friend with this issue. And they inccurred lots of credit card debt back in college and then blew it off. Totally blew it off for over 9 years. When I learned of this I told my friend they won't forget the debt - they sold it to someone. However - I have learned that the debt should drop off the report after 7 years typically. Some debts do not show up as charge off and some show recent activity - like going to a collection agency. What gives on the 7 yr drop off thing then? Do not want to open a can of worms here - and wish to settle debt at some point. Is cleaning up credit report separate to that or not?

Why is it that most states make home owners pay school/property taxes regardless of whether they have children or not? And in turn, why don't people who rent and have children not have to pay these taxes? I believe that most first time home buyers don't know and are not educated on the extra expenses that taxes add to their mortgage payments and/or overall annual housing costs. Why isn't this explained better (i.e. all online mortgage calculators should be mandated to allow added tax costs to figure out the TRUE monthly mortgage payment)?
Could this play a major contributing factor to the rise in foreclosures in America? Why can't local governments see that if they started charging school taxes to families that have children regardless of their mortgage or renting status that it would be better for the school systems and make it a better and a more fair economy? People may not be so apt to have alot of children if they know they have to pay school taxes whether they owned or rented

I am retired. I got myself into a lot of debt. It would be nice if I could live in a better house. It needs a lot of work. I also would like to help others but can not because of my finances. I also would like to help out my childrem. I'm in real estate now. I wanted to do some thing else 7 years of retirement. I thought I could make some money. So far it's cost me more money than what I've taken made. This is why I would pray for finanical gain. I know my broker said he prays for things to happen for him in a possive. He seems to do okay. Is is right or wrong to do this. If so do you think /God will listen to me. Will God give me some financail gain. My broker said that I'm not bringing in any money right now for him. I think he wants to let me go. Nothing is working for me righjt now.

Or does prop. 13 force counties to stick with the original price a buyer paid for the home? I want to take a very small home equity loan out ($5,000), but it may not be worth it if my tax bill goes up 50%.

I have a lease and I have paid the rent until the end of August. A broker came by today and said the house was foreclosed on and I have 3 days to move out (I assume the broker bought it). I cannot reach the landlord. What are my rights as a tenant in Texas when the house has been foreclosed on? Thanks

"Stratasys, Inc. (Nasdaq:SSYS) said that its board has approved a 2-for-1 stock split of the company's common stock, to be effected in the form of a common stock dividend.
Each shareholder of record at the close of business on Aug. 15 will receive one additional share for every outstanding share held on that date." - Reuters

Does that mean if I have 100 shares worth $50 each, it will become 200 shares worth $25 each? I don't understand the "common stock dividend" part.

I have been trading in stock markets for 15 years now. Due to an illness during college I have been left with virtually no capital of my own to trade with. I am looking for sources of capital that I could trade with, like an investor. I could easily generate over 30% per year on any money I could get. I only trade stocks no commodities or currency.

First, I had two phone interviews with this company initially. On Tuesday, they flew me 570 miles for a face to face interview. I met with seven different people. I feel the CFO is the decision maker and he really liked me. He made a few comments such as, "would you consider a different position with us in addition to the one you applied for," "you had some really good questions," and "what date are you available?"

He also said he liked my education background (I am a CPA, blah, blah, blah). He said a decision would be made in one to three days. Today is day three and is the Friday before the weekend.

What do you think my chances are for a job offer? I met with others as well, but couldn't read them as closely. I met the two people I would be working with and felt like I really hit it off with them as well.

I keep recieving job proposals through Career Builder/Monster and a few others that say they have viewed my resume and think that I would be a good candidate for the job. The only requirments are that you are 21yrs and 2/3 hrs a day to work. It said that I would recieve 5% of each transaction and a base pay of 2,000. a month. How do I reseach or talk to to find out of it is a scam. I dont think it was asking for any money anyways. I would like to know if it is a waste of my time though. Thanks

What will happen to him now he did this during an audit.
