Some people say that real estate will drop to 1/4 of what the prices are right now in the near future. That means a condo in Los Angeles that some poor family bought 2 years ago for 400K will be 100K in a year or two? That doesn't sound right.

What's your opinion on housing price in big markets like Southern California?

I can't just up and leave. I am stuck! Should I ask to get full time or should I just go? I have been here for 2 years and no change.

I currently have $12k invested in vanguard's total stock market index and vanguard's total int'l stock market index (6k in each).

It has been slipping steadily and fears continue to rise.... would it be wise to transfer the money to a money-market or bond or is this most likely temporary... btw, i plan on not touching this monbey for at least 5-10 years.

Apparently the dude who caught it has to pay taxes on it. But how can they place a value on it if he hasn't gone to market with it? Any speculation as to what the ball might bring is just that, speculation. The ball retails for about $8, tops. How does the government tax a speculated value? Suppose Bonds turns around and eats a live baby on TV, or pulls an OJ. The guy then sells the ball and gets $19.50 for it, and he had to beg to get that much for it. Does he get a refund for the tax he paid?

2. Do they take that person's credit profile into consideration when they decide to approve/deny your application?

Ok I just recently posted the same question and received alot of answers that were not professional enough to use for a company name. Let me give you guys a little more info and maybe someone can help me. Someone mentioned using initals with a company name, if I used any intials in the name they would be (CMP) that of course is my husband initials. Someone else asked the question "What kind of welding?" well it would be tig, mig, stick we can do any kind of welding you need done. Also what I failed to include in my last question is that, my husband specializies in welding and is certified on any kind of welding you need, but he will contract on other things as well, for example we done a water meter project, as a matter of fact several of them. So we would not only do welding services. We would be willing to do any work that we are skilled at.
