The US is obligated to force recalls on bad products that may harm people regardless of whether they were made in China, Germany, or the US.

And, the market is just the market. People panic when they see a 3-digit loss, but a 3-digit loss when the market is hovering around 14,000 is not the same as a 3-digit loss when the market was hovering around 6,000.
