Toni, there is a thing called "Chain of command". Your district manager has someone over him , the Regional manager, First of all I would talk to district manager about the situation, if it is not worked out then I would proceed in going over his head to the Regional manager, still if you have problems call the home offfice #. they have lots of people that will listen to your problem, and after all this if you lose your job or have problems on the job, seek a attorney to file descrimnation lawsuit. I worked in the food service industry for 22+ years and I know exactly what you are going through just follow my advice and go through the steps, I also suggest writing everything down in a notebook and keep up with it , it will help you when question are being asked and you will be prepared. I no longer work in food service industry, I got feed up with the policies and precedures, the bullsh*t of it all. Now I work at a criminal defense law firm, much different, but enjoying my job so much more. Good Luck !!!!!

If this firing is because the GM did something to you and was fired , You should write the information down and keep a record of what was done and what is being done now. You can go to HR and inform someone that there is now a problem with the DR. HR must keep your discussion private and they may ask you if you would meet with the DR in their presence. This may get worse but HR is responsible for employee management problems and may go to a higher authority to try to solve this problem. I had to file a report with HR where I worked and they got the problem handled the HR manager ran the meeting with the DR and me and it turned out that the DR had incorrect information about an incident and when informed of the truth, was very apologetic and we got along fine.

If you have absolute proof of this you may be protected from wrongful dismissal.
However if your ever late one time or violate a company policy even in the slightest manner you will be terminated for cause and will not be able to draw unemployment.
This is a bad deal and if I were you I would be looking for another job, BEFORE they find a way to terminate you.
Good luck

Why would he fire the GM, be mad at you, then fire you? It would be much more logical for him to simply fire you and keep the GM.

I think you might be misreading the situation.

Go to the HR department right away and file a complaint. This is harassment.
