I want to subscribe to a survey website (treasuretrooper.com) where they send you checks for completing surveys, but to do this requires me giving them my home address to mail me my checks. I don't want to receive a ton of junk mail to my home. Any suggestions on how to get my check but avoid giving a home address?

I have discovered one of my supplier has (willingly or not I don't know) frauded me for 15k about 2 years ago. Now that I confront him with it he's saying it's been too long and he won't repay a mistake 2 years old. How would you handle this? It's not worth taking a lawyer, it's gonna cost me 20k to get 15 k back. It's upseting me so much I have raised my voice at him a couple of time already ...I need to stay cool and find a solution!

I currently own a home and have found another home that I'm interested in purchasing. The new home is a good deal and exactly what we've always wanted in the perfect location. The problem is is that I already own a home and am worried about having two mortgages. I 've figured I can sustain the two mortgages for about 1 and a half years if the home we currently live is has a hard time selling. Our current home shouldn't be a problem to sell because we have about 40k in equitity but the market is so bad right now that I'm scared. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have lived in my apartment for 3 years, & I received my lease renewal today & plan to re-sign for a 4th year.
Along with the renewal came a letter from my rental company that said to let them know if there is anything they can do to make me more comfortable living here for the next year.
Since I've lived here for a while, there are a few things that need to be done, but I don't know what should be my responsibility vs. theirs. I don't want to return the lease with a long list of things, so I'm hoping somebody can help me narrow this down to what I should expect them to take care of.
- I would like a new oven (mine is very old, & I know other apartments have brand new ovens)
- My bedroom ceiling has paint that is peeling off. It needs to be patched & repainted.
- new tile in both of my bathroom showers. (they recently remodeled my bathrooms but didn't do this)
- My carpets need to be professionally cleaned.
I don't want to seem unreasonable, so any help is appreciated!

I live in the UK. When I see programmes about people thinking of buying houses in the USA I am amazed that houses in desirable areas such as Florida seem to be so cheap to buy. Big houses, small price.
There must be a catch somewhere, or Americans would buy up all the houses advertised at a bargain price.
All I can think of is that there expensive hidden charges, such as the cost of repairing the roads and footpaths outside the Florida homes. And high charges for other services, like water, gas, electricity, phones, as well as compulsory fees for maintaining individual gardens and communal grassed areas and flower beds.
I am sure that lots of people will be able to tell me whether it is cheap or expensive to live in Florida, once the house itself has been paid for.

It is a 65 year old, non-franchised grocery store. A friend of mine and I have a combined 30 years in the grocery business, and have found this nice opportunity. Unlimited potential for growth, as the previous owners have sat on their hands for years, and have done nothing to expand the business in some time. The package we received shows that there is still lots of money being made there, despite the lack of effort. I have a poor personal credit history, so I was wondering if I could get any advise from you all on how I should go about this. I have potential co-signers for the loan, and my partner looks to be good to go with his half. Do I have a chance with the poor credit history to get my share? It is looking like I will need 200 000 to 300 000, unless we can talk them down more. Help? Thanks.

I've had my home appraised a couple times before. They measured, looked at it and left. Courtney appraials came, left, told the loan co. I had to take out the window ac units because I couln't open the windows, therefore creating a fire hazzard. Also, we had to refix a spot in the bathroom that had been repaired prior to us buying 7 years ago. Now, he has to come back to check these things, but for another 150 bucks. I'm not selling my house, just appraising. He will appraise it for 35thousand dollars less than it was appraised 9 mos. ago.

My partner and I are currently homeowners on our first home, but are looking to move house. We don't have much in the way of savings, but we do have good equity in our current house.

If we sell our current house at market rates, we stand to make around £23,000 (after the bank's been paid back) which would work nicely as a deposit. But, how does it work?

Would we have to sell our current home first, and THEN put an offer in on the second house? Because the only money we have for a deposit is tied up in the equity of our current home. I’m so confused. :-(
