ok, if you are the highest bidder and the time 4 bidding is up etc. does the seller ask you what type of shipping you would like?
example: $4.99 for 2-9 days and $2.99 for 2-3 days.
do i get to choose my preference? And how?
thank you

You can email the seller and state your preference and then their invoice will reflect that amount for shipping plus any fee for handling they may or may not charge. Usually they state what they charge to ship, how much insurance is, or have a place to click where you enter your zip code and it states shipping. If you have bought something fairly expensive, that you buy insurance. I bought a sewing machine that came broken. I bought insurance but the shipping was as much as the machine and I was MAD. The guy was rude and I ended up getting it all back when he was stupid enought to email me and state that I should have known to have separate insurance to cover shipping. It was like he was saying it was broken when I sent it so you should have insured it. I complained to ebay and it all got straightened out. Most sellers will be very helpful. Just email them.

Look at the bottom of the auction, and there should be a shipping charges section. Upon winning the auction you will select your shipping method and pay the specified amount foe it.

If there is no shipping method listed, ask the seller (BEFORE BIDDING) what the shipping charges are going to be. If you do not get the shipping charges before the auction is over, the seller can charge you whatever they want. I've seen a few people get $200 - $300 shipping charges on <$20 auctions. If you don't pay the seller can report you as a deadbeat bidder and leave negative feedback. Most people aren't out there to screw other ebay'ers but be careful if no shipping charges are listed.
