Much as it sounds like you want to help, I'd advise you to be sensible and DON'T hand over your money.
Imagine that you friend had asked you the same thing - what would you advise them to do?
Think carefully before releasing any of your money to someone you don't know, no matter how much you want to help.

No. Not really any point in lending a stranger anything chances are you won't get it back.
If you felt really generous you could give it to him but expect he might want to milk you for more if you do.
Examine your motives for wanting to loan a stranger the money.
Why not just donate £150 to the Needy in Africa via Bob Geldof's site if you are just feeling generous.

if you know there is a feeling there lend it to them but beware. They may be pulling a fast one on you. Do not trust somebody you have known for a short amount of time. Actions speak louder than words.

If he hasn't asked I would not offer, if he did the answer from me would be no. "never lend what you cant afford to lose" and I would miss £150!

Anyone that would ask to borrow money from a stranger is a loser.
