I recently became an officer in a very disorganized non-profit organization. We are tax exempt but there are no forms in the pile of paperwork that say that. In order to open a new account we need an IRS ruling letter of tax exemption. What exactly does this look like and how can I get another one? Thanks in advance

I am trying to get a copy of my credit report from transunion threw annualcreditreport and it keeps saying...... your credit report indicates that additional precautions must be taken beofre we can grant access to your credit report.....I did have a fraud alert on it like 7 years ago, but I have applied for credit over the phone and people have gotten my info without a phone call to verify I wanted it done. How can I get the report online, If I use their pay monthly service to view it, will it let me then??? My brother which has never had anything on his report for an alert also tried it here and it states the same thing??Any info??Thanks!!

The company that I've worked for has been purchased by a bigger company. Everyone has gone through a strict background check, credit check and drug screening. I'm in managment and I was told that I passed everything without a blemish. But there are a few managers who's background checks were redflagged or were given a week to leave due to their credit checks. I've had to work approximately 140-plus hours within a two week period off and on for over the past five months due to a lack of co-managers. Working from open til close almost four days in a row. I'm grateful for my position. It could be worse. But I thought when you're working, that you're working to gain good credit. How is this possible?

I recieved my credit report for my husband which we filed bankruptsy and our discharge was july of 2000, on the credit report it states date filed 04/2001....Would this be removed if they reported the wrong date???

i'm the director of a pregnancy help center and we need to move our office. would a business owner be able to get a deduction for allowing us to use a part of there building rent free? and if not, would it be unethical to pay them rent and then have them pay us back and call it a donation? any thoughts would be great! thank you!

I'm thirty nine years old and very introverted (let's say practically anitsocial!) and work in Civil Service (N.Y. City municipal agency) as a Supervisor in the Records Management Unit. While it is back office and I only have to manage a staff of three, it is boring, tedious, and mindless work spent doing repetitive data entry, information research, answering telephone questions of employees about their personnel files; and living in one of the boroughs of N.Y.C. the salary sucks - $45,000.00 I couldn't even afford a studio apartment on that if I wasn't married! I can be charming and friendly if forced to, am fairly intelligent, very well spoken, and have been told by numerous people that I "write very well." Since receiving my Bachelor's Degree in 1991 I've not enrolled in any sort of academic program. I desperately need a career chage but am hampered by my solitary nature and fear of socializing. I also need to earn about $65K to feel financially secure. Advice?

I recently sent a cease & desist letter along with a settlement letter to a collection agency...they called me today to tell me they received the letter and that my settlement offer had been declined and also said the account was turned over to their legal dept.
Why would they call me after admitting they receieved the cease & desist letter?
Being that they declined my settlement offer of $1995.00 which is $1000.00 less than they were trying to get from me...should I make another offer.
What can I expect from this point after they told me it was turned over to their legal dept.
