Did you know that you can dispute it with all 3 credit bureaus?

Did you know that if they can't verify it they must delete it?

Did you know that most the time they can NOT verify it?

Learn about credit repair. ;)

I would contact all 3 credit companies and dispute it because if your discharge date is 7/2000 than this July will be 7 years and it would come off your report this July. The BK is older so no one is really caring but pending how your credit has been since the BK it could make a difference. Normally after a BK creditors want to see all payments made on time so if there were lates after a BK, then they tend to frown but if it gone they will never know the difference and wont be as much as an impact on rate.

You should dispute this with the bureaus they will take cases which are not frivolous. To prove to them that your dispute is not frivolous you should compile as much supporting evidence as you can. Once you have gathered your evidence you should make copies of those documents and your credit report, be sure to note what are you are disputing too. While your claim in being investigated you should inform your banks, credit card companies, etc (those that will pull your report) of this error and that it is under investigation. For more details on disputing a claim you should refer to this informative site: http://credit.privacymatters.com/credit-articles/dispute-credit-report.aspx

You could request that it be corrected, but not that it be removed.
