My FICO score has dropped 100 points and the credit card debt has risen $5,000-$10,000.... according to the free FICO scores/report that one of my cc companies updates each month. They have never been wrong before for 5+ years.

I recently lost a court case and owe around $10k court costs but it hasn't been finalized yet.... could this be on my credit already????

I was discussing this the other day and realized a million dollars does not have the "buying power" it use to.
Sure everyone could use an extra million. It's a lot of money.
But I don't think someone could retire with it.
Assume that someone just won the lottery. Feels great until the I.R.S. takes a big ol' chuck for themselves and possibly the state as well. I assume 250K to be a conservative estimate.
Then that person would want to buy a nice house or pay off the one they have. For a nice house in my area, you pay about 250K-500K.
So go low end and half your money is gone.
Then you want to pay off your bills, maybe give some to your children or pay off some of their bills. Not to mention just have some fun and maybe splurge on an expensive car. It could most likely be done for $250,000.
So you have 250K to invest. Not a bad nest egg. It make a great retirement.
But would you want to retire at say 40 with just that much money?
What would you do? Invest into a business, ect.

First off, I'm trying to help this old lady about mid 50ish that lives close to me. Well this is kind of confusing so I'm here. She is a Homecare provider for her husband and not too long ago her husband pass away. She ask me(19year old) to see if she can get unemployment but from what I know, you have to get fire form a job. So can she still get unemployment in this case and also how would I go about to apply for unemployment for her. I heard something about ett or edd that help but I'm not sure if (ett or edd) ---(something I heard) is what I need to check out. I'm in California so please help me out.

If there is website to do this, can you please help put it down?

Should I have signed a new lease that goes straight to my landlords? Right now I am having problems with my landlords and the lease but the more I think about it, the more I realize that it doesn't make sense for that lease to still be valid considering I signed it with a company they are no longer involved with. I really need to know!

I took out a loan for $1,500 to buy my mom a computer about 5 years ago. She promised to make the monthly payments, which she did for awhile before quitting and not telling me. The company sued me and I ended up signing an agreement in December 2006 to pay back the loan at the sum of $7,339.07, with interest at the contractual rate of 12% per annum from October 11, 2005 until paid, attorney fees in the amount of $734.00, and court costs in the amount of $241.00. According to the last document I received in December my balance was $8,528. 46. I started making payments in February of $400 a month which I was told has only gone to interest and not the principal as of now ($8,158.67). I was also told that I was being charged a rolling interest and thus could not be told my correct beginning balance. And that I would have to pay $650 a month to have anything go towards the principal. Is this accurate and how much will I need to pay a month in order to have this debt paid off in 2 years?

My husband and I filed a joint return...however someone in a different state(just so happens to be the same state as my husbands ex wife) used my husbands name, birthdate and social security number and filed a return fradulantly. Because this thief got the return in ahead of us he was able to have the return depostited directly into his accouont. It has been several months since I filed and I still do not have an answer as to when I will get my return. In fact I am treated like a criminal whenever I call for a status. My local congressman also has an inquiry submitted with the tax payers advocate office(thats a joke ). I am just wondering if anyone can give me and info on how to expedite this process. I need this money ...I am owed this money and if it were the other way around you can bet I would be being billed interest. Any ideas please help.

They said I have to pay 6 % now because the sale was from another real estate agency and they want a cut. They said I could have prevented this by muli- listing but I thought I was doing them a favor by only listing with them. Should I to pay the extra 2 percent or should they responsible for this. I know I can refuse to pay it, but can he cancel the deal for the whole sale or what. Is this normal for a real estate agent to try this? I don't have much experience with this. I would like an answer from an agent or anyone who would know..

I've read in several places that one of the major credit score factors is the debt usage ratio. If I increase my credit limit without charging anymore to the card then the ratio will decrease. However, increasing the credit limit just feels like the wrong thing to do. Anyone have any experience/advice here? Thanks so much in advance.
