I bought a movie off Itunes and figured it was already in my account balance, and took out money. Now the bank sent me a letter about it. How much will they penalize me for?

Every bank sets their own fee schedule. If you don't have overdraft protection, my bank charges $33.00 for thew overdraft + $6.00 per day until you deposit enough to bring your balance back above zero. If you have overdraft protection, they transfer a minimum of $50.00 from you credit card/savings, and charge a $9.00 fee. Multiple overdrafts in a 12 month period result in larger fees.

I'm guessing you have overdraft protection? I'm from Canada and for me the penalty is something along $4.98 and interest which only adds on a couple of cents. You can call the bank and ask them. Since I don't know what bank/country applies to your situation!

It depends on the bank. They'll send you a letter with the price of your item they paid for you and their fee.

It could be anywhere from at least $19-34
