You're not hired just yet. You'll know when they call you and have have an interview. When you're hired you'll know. Good luck! Dont stop putting in applications though!

This means that the next time they are looking to set up interviews they will call you for one. My first job was at McDonald's and 8-4 is a common shift there. She was probably happy that that is what you can work full-time. This does not mean, however, that you are hired yet. You still must do a job interview, when they call and ask you for one. (This is coming from someone who has experience hiring people).

A way to get them to really notice you as a job candidate is to call them 4-7 days after you drop off your application, and ask to speak to the manager. Introduce yourself (over the phone) and say, "I dropped off a resume and/or application on Tuesday, and I was wondering if you've had a chance to look over it yet." That shows initiative, and will get them to pull your application out of the huge pile they probably receive each week and actually look at it more closely.

Good luck!

Sounds like you could be hired. McDonald's has a hard time getting people for the day shift during the week. Most people prefer to work after school hours...except during the summer....it's easier to get daytime employees during the summer because school is out.

I would say it's a 50/50 chance, but it never hurts to make a phone call or visit to see if your application status has changed. They said they'd call, so you'll definitely find out sooner or later.... if they call you. Since they said they would call, wait a few days before going in to check your application status.

If she said "we'll call you" then you do not have a job until they call you and say that you have one. I would continue to submit applications at other places as a back up, in case they do not call you back. She was verifying that those were the hours you wanted to work by asking you the question.

It means they where probably looking for hours other than what you stated you could work, or want to work. Off hand would say you did not get the job
