I was in an auto accident in 12/03. My health insurance and auto insurance paid hospital bills, etc. I paid the balance in May, 04. Have not heard one more word even tho I still live at same address and work for same company. Now receive notice from collection agency! Could this be a scam of some type? Wouldn't the hospital try to contact me over the years if I still owed? The bill is only $150.00 but it's the principal of the thing. Do I fight it? Do I have a leg to stand on?

Are there any US pennies that are worth money (ok, other than 1 cent--ha ha)? I know there's that steel one from 1942(43?), but what about old pennies like 1910's and 20's. Is there a site that lists valuable pennies??

I bought my house last June, so its been just at a year. I would like to borrow money to re-roof my home. Is it too soon to apply for a loan like this. I know I don't have alot of equity in the house yet, but I would like to go ahead and redo the roof now before I have a problem.

In this age of computer technology, can anyone complie a list of businesses or professions that doesn't use computers?

With the onslaught of computers programs like e-mail, accounting and other data banks, I find it hard to imagine any workplace that doesn't utilize compuiters somehow.

Thanks for your answers!

A while ago I applied for a waitressing job, and today they called me and told me to come in for an interview. I was hired, but after they hired me they told me the 50 million rules: no jewelry, no makeup, no nailpolish, special shoes must be worn, hair has to be in a bun. All kinds of stupid crap. I'm not interested in the job, but I just sort of nodded during the interview, because I didn't wanna jump up and be like "No thanks!" How do I gracefully get out of this?

Hello

I'm trying to figure out what I can do, to best reduce my taxes.

Here's my situation:

- I'm in the process of buying a home. From what I know, I can write off the taxes paid on the property and also interest paid on mortgage.
- My wife is pregnant.
- My wife has her own business where she works part-time. She'll probably bring in an income of $15-20k for 2007. Anyway I can claim her as an dependent? How about the baby in the womb? :)

Tax info:
State: NJ
My Income: 80k-85k
Wife's Income: 15-20k

I'm pretty ignorant as to what to do, to best reduce my taxes. If anyone can shed some light, I'd appreciate it.

I have only JUST found out that the Mexican, United States and Canadian Officials are meeting and planning a North American monetary system like the EURO, and the plan is to call it the AMERO.
Is this a done deal, or might it be squelched?

55 year young male. Credit and collections industry on and off for 20 years. Upper managment experiance. I've had enough of this industry. A job that is not so much a challange. But enjoyable, not so stressful. Making great $ is always a good thing. But then again I want to spend less time making it. Any ideas.

Much thanks,
