I just started a new sales job. I have a sales background but I lost alot of confidence in my last job. I had just moved to a new city and things were just so different from what I was used to. I went from being a top dog to bottom of the barrel. I hate being on the bottom.

My competitve streak has always benefited me in sales. But lately it has gotten hard for me to get over rejections. Rejections, at one time, didn't bother me at all. I am so scared of failing I am practically paralyzed.

I like sales but I think I need a change in attitude if I am ever going to get back on top again.

Please help.

I am a male sales rep that has been with my company for over 4 years. Recently, we hired a female rep with no sales experience and is very wet behind the ears. She has a relative that is a financial planner and has asked me to sit with them. I politely declined and now she gives me nothing but attitude. She is very brazen with me and a few other co-workers and is not very respectful. Upper management loves her because she is a young, attractive woman in a predominantly male office. I have not approached management about her behavior yet, but I'm getting close. I'm just afraid of losing the "political game" due to the fact she is a woman. I've been professional, answered her questions, taken her on sales calls, given her materials to succeed in sales. I just don't understand the hostility and I don't know what to do. I'm also afraid of losing my job if I approach management about her. What should I do?

I've been babysitting these kids for over a year and i only get 10$ an hour for triplet three year olds. They can afford to pay more and most other sitters in my area get over 10$ for one or two kids. Most get 12$ per hr for two kids over 6. I'm going to college next year and can use any extra cash... how do i ask without asking?

Right now, my credit is pretty horrible. I have alot of late payments and, after paying off two credit cards, they are now closed. I also have a closed credit card account that was charged off. So I have no open accounts on major credit cards. Which, frankly, works good for me. But to improve my credit report, I need to be using and paying for a credit card. This is my question: I do have an open account with a clothing catalog and Sears. If I charge something to them and then pay it off, will that be just as beneficial?? Or would it be a waste of time and effort? If I apply for a credit card, it will mean additional requests for my credit report, and they will probably turn me down.

You place an ad on craigslist, and you get urgent replies from yahoo.co.uk addresses. The people say they want to move in right away, sight unseen, and they need details. Then, they send you a check for way more than you asked for, and they want you to send them a refund check. Their check is no good, so you're stuck with the bag, and you have no idea who they are.

Let's expose the rip offs!

i recently bought a shirt from the website http://www.shirtmagic.com but they never sent me my shirt and it's been over 3 months.

i've called them..and they always had some excuse.

1st problem: (first month) they sent out the wrong shirt, so i sent it back.

2nd problem:(second month) the gentlemen said he will be sending the right one on asap.

3rd problem: (third month) the woman apologize saying that shirt was still at their warehouse, and said she will send it out asap with a confirmation code.

4th problem: (forth month) another woman said the previous women sent it to the wrong address, and said she will be sending it out the next day and that i should recieve it soon.

5th problem: didn't get no shirt, and it's been over THREE months!
tried writing them an e-mail with a complaint, didn't hear no response. tried calling them again, and no one answers.

I am trying to get my credit report shaped up as much as possible before the summer. In addition to alot of late payments, I have a credit card that was charged off (and sold to another company?????) in January, 2006. I owed 2,100 on it. My question is this, which would be the best thing to do to improve my chances of getting a car loan: Try to pay off the amount that has been charged off (I don't even really know if I can do this) OR use the $2,000 as part of my down payment. I have the money I just don't know which action will be most beneficial for a car loan.....

This is a charity started by the restaurant owner, which is the reason we took in the money ourselves, and we plan to host at least one charity event annually. currently a large portion of the money is listed as a credit in a "charity" account set up by my predecessor, and a small portion is listed as a credit to the retail account (normally we use this account for the sale of coffee mugs and other things with our logo) it seems to me that all the money should be put into the retail account and paid back out-to the charity we hosted the event for- by a debit to the charity account. Or should I set up a "charity in" (credit) account and a seperate "charity out" (debit) account?
