I recently sent out a check to my credit card's bank. Its been about a week and I have yet to see an update on my online statement saying that they received it. For peace of mind, is it possible that someone could have stolen it and cashed it in? Can you even deposit a check that isnt yours? Thank you

I think I know most of it but I wana be sure because I have a friend who has given out personal info and SSN and they probably need help dealing with it. I have read that you can call and have stops put on your credit ect and I'm gona tell them to possibly do that. but what I really want to know is what exactly all can a person do with this info???

And if you have a low credit score or judgements on your credit report, why would that exclude you from a potenial job? I dont understand it, I was disqualified for a job because of my credit, yes its bad,but thats why I'm looking for a better job to fix it. I want to buy a new house, but I still have to sell my old house. I'm afraid that I won't be able to sell the old house soon enough and I would have to worry about paying monthly for both houses if I move into new house.
