I have a choice between two colleges. Western Michigan and Central Michigan. I've been told that Western doesn't have a Law enforcement program but does have criminal justice. I've heard Central has a good law enforcement program. If i just want to become a regular cop raise ranks through the department and then eventually join S.W.A.T which class would be best to take? Thanks in advanced.

My fiance and I had started a small business. The problem is we're trying to keep it from his ex wife. So, we're going to have the business in my name. The problem is the company card we use has his name on it. Is this going to be a problem when it comes to tax time? Anything we should do to keep it from being an issue with the tax man etc? Also, can I have him as a payroll employee even if we're living in the same house? The name of the company isn't either of our names...it's fictional... what do we do in regards to that? I also need advice about accounting software. We buy instrument parts to have installed onto another instrument (to make it more appealing), what kind of company is that? Are there taxes on instruments that need to be paid (an accountant told me he wasn't sure if there's sales tax on instruments)? Thank you for all your help.

already have with a lower interest rate than what the first card will be after the promotion ends? My credit isn't GREAT, but it's not bad either. I know it will depend on a variety of factors, so I'm not looking for sound advice, but a gut feeling.

Well me and my friend have decided that we want to start a raking business. Nothing big but just to pick up some money on the side. We are almost out of school, so y not? I just want ideas on the name, something nifty, but nothing with our names, so you shouldn't need those. Thanks!

I originally went with the traditional format (education, work experience, ...) since I could fill up a page or two that way. When I interviewed with an engineering firm for a design management position, the only questions they asked were about a design course I took. I felt that because it was a management position, they could have asked about the leadership and communication (two things I think are crucial in management) experience I have accumulated beyond that course from things like being involved in government, planning and hosting a school-wide event, etc. While these things have nothing to do with technical engineering design, they were useful qualities to bring to such a job and I felt like the interviewer didn't recognize that. So, I am thinking it might be more effective to reformat my resume using categories like "leadership", "communication", etc. to make it more apparent. Feedback, please!

For those that have interviewed with engineering firms, what can you expect?

I was going to, and then a friend said I shouldn't bother, especially since I'd only been at the job for 3 months. Then my bosses went and gave me a very lovely holiday gift--I'm thinking I should give them something now, but I'm almost out of time. Help! Thanks!
